Fear No Fear

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, MEV). This is one of the greatest conditional promises in the entire Word. And it is a simple condition. You have to have help to get it wrong, that’s how simple it is. It’s a mindset condition. IF we will come to Jesus, we WILL get rest. Isn’t that simple and wonderful? Life sometimes seems designed to create stress and effort – in truth, life isn’t designed that way, but the curse is. It is sadly normal to feel overwhelmed and struggling. To wonder how you’ll manage, how you’ll get out of the situation you are in. But God is meant to be our Source. Source of ideas, source of strength, source of comfort, source of resources. Source of everything we need to survive and thrive. If we will humbly submit to Him, if we will come and admit we NEED Him, if we come and make Him Lord and Saviour, king of our lives, He will take care of it. We will be able to relax. To let go of the stress, anxiety, and need for toil. He has the answers. He knows where we need to apply our efforts so that we aren’t wearing ourselves out almost past endurance. He knows where the resources are that we need and can direct us to where they are and in how we can get them. He can fight for us and defend us. He can take care of it all, if we will listen to Him. If we will listen to Him and then do what He says. IF we will make Him our source of all things, then all things that are beneficial to us will be within our reach. He won’t keep good things from us. All the things that line up with His morals, His ideals, and His standards will be ours – the timing is up to Him. We’ll be satisfied every step of the way, if He is the source for our lives. If we will come to Him, He WILL give us rest. What a GREAT promise! He loves us SO MUCH!
