Fear No Fear

“Is the seed yet in the barn? As of yet, the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have yielded nothing. But from this day on I will bless you” (Haggai 2:19, MEV). Obedience to the Lord ALWAYS brings blessing from the Lord. God is CONSTANTLY speaking to us. Holy Spirit tells us how we can trust in Jesus in every circumstance, every situation, and in every word, thought, and deed we have and do. If we will listen, that is good. It is good to listen. That is how we strengthen and develop our trust in God (Romans 10:17). But listening is NOT ENOUGH. We need to do more than HEAR, we need to OBEY. The anointing of blessing is on the OBEDIENCE and not the LISTENING. We have to move from simply listening and saying ‘Amen’. We need to do more than be MOVED by what we hear from pulpits and teachers across the world. We need to OBEY Holy Spirit when He moves us. Whether it is assignment or correction. Whether it is stern or cheerful. Whether it is quiet or His loud voice. We need to obey in the small, we need to obey in the large, and we especially need to obey in the face of our not understanding. We don’t need to see where we are going to land when we jump. We don’t need to know the end from the beginning. HE takes care of THAT. WE need to obey. When we do, we are BLESSED because of it. Disobedience is rebellion. Obedience is resting. Letting HIM be the Source. It is TRUSTING Him. He tells us this so many times throughout scripture there is no way we can miss it unless someone helps us. He made it so obvious and so simple ANYONE can do it at ANY LEVEL. We can ALL obey. In whatever He has for us, we need to obey and not delay. He is too good to steer us wrong. He loves us too much to want us to fail. Trust Him. Listen to Him. Obey Him. And watch the blessing in your life grow and grow and grow.
