Fear No Fear

“And Yahweh God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?”” (Genesis 3:9, LEB). God is SO GOOD to us. God KNEW where Adam and Eve were. He KNEW what had happened. He KNEW everything. But He STILL ASKED. He does that. God gives us a chance to tell the truth. God gives us a chance to apologize. God gives us a chance to repent and confess. God isn’t seeking to SMITE us. God is seeking RECONCILIATION with us. But HE can’t do it. WE have to do it. WE stepped away. WE have to choose to step back. HE made the Way, but WE have to walk it. It isn’t a complex thing. It is simple. VERY simple. But WE make it HARD. We put ourselves before Him in the first place – that is how you sin. Our Selves are selfish, egotistical, and prideful things. They do NOT want to submit. They do NOT want to admit wrong. They do NOT want to be corrected. So choosing to admit we are wrong and align with how God sees a thing is difficult. It takes WILLPOWER. But that is EXACTLY what God GIVES us (2 Timothy 1:7). God is SO GOOD and so DEDICATED to having a relationship with us that He made the Way for us to get back to Him AND equipped us to succeed. He ALWAYS gives us a Way and ALWAYS empowers us to walk it. He’s GREAT, isn’t He?
