Fear No Fear

“The wealth of the rich is his fortified city; the ruin of the poor is their poverty” (Proverbs 10:15, CLB). It is not poverty in riches that brings true poverty. It is not the riches of monetary wealth that brings true riches. It is knowledge of God. “my goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer, my shield, and in whom I trust; who subdues nations under me” (Psalm 144:2, MEV). God IS our fortress. It is the knowledge that WE can be save in HIM that IS the riches which make us wealthy. When we KNOW that God is our SOURCE, then everything that is HIS we have access to IN HIM. When we DON’T know that, we are poor. It is our ruin. Because we have nothing to appeal to. We are stuck relying on our own efforts. Our own strengths. Our own intelligence. Without God as your Source, your resources are VERY small. How can we function like that? Well, look at the world. Lies, cheating, scrambling, toil, desperation, anxiety, depression, and even murder to get something, ANYTHING that you can use to better yourself – or hang onto what you have. Look at the Kingdom. Peace. Security. Needs met even in turmoil and the ruin of economic systems. Taken care of. This is wealth. This is security. This is available to ALL who make God their Source and Jesus their Lord. This is the Father protecting His children. This is LOVE. This is the fortified city prepared for ALL of us (1 Timothy 2:4-6). This is the true wealth God prepared for ALL of us our of His LOVE for us. He’s not a smiter. He’s a REDEEMER.
