Psalm 61 is a cry out to God because the psalmist feels overwhelmed. He recognizes that God is a shelter and fortress and relies on that, but he is feeling so swamped that he is crying out to God. He praises God that regardless of how it FEELS, everything will be fine.
Psalm 62 is a declaration of waiting on God’s timing. He knows the marvellous things God does, they aren’t happening right now, but He KNOWS they WILL happen. He is content in the peace that comes from trusting God.
Psalm 63 is an Old Covenant prayer to be satisfied in the things of God. The psalmist is looking toward the New Covenant in which our thirst is satisfied. he yearns for it and the peace and satisfaction it brings.
Psalm 64 is about the ultimate victory of all the godly over the wicked because God is going to take them in hand. He will move and they will be forced to acknowledge what the godly already acknowledge: God is Most High.
Psalm 65 is praising the Lord for salvation. For the ability and privilege to praise Him. For the wonders God created and the restoration of humanity that He performs. For hoe the Lord provides for creation.
Psalm 66 is a joyful praise song to God for all His wonders. For what He has created and what He has performed. There is NO ONE like Adonai.
Psalm 67 is both a call for praising God and a call for God to bless His people.
Psalm 68 is showing the gratitude the psalmist has toward God and the goodness He shows toward His people. For the works that He does. For His protections and blessings. For how He protects them. For how wonderful He is.
