Psalm 83 is a prayer against the enemies of Israel (Edom, the Ishmaelites, Moab, the Hagrites, Gebal, Ammon, Amalek, Tyre, the Philistines, and Assyria) who were conspiring together against Israel. This was a call for protection and deliverance, in FULL TRUST and BELIEF that it would come to pass.
Psalm 84 is thanking the Lord for the WONDERFULNESS of His presence. Of the blessing that dwells in His Way. Of the strength that we get from Him. Of the glory which is the goodness of God.
Psalm 85 is a prayer and a praise song to the Lord. First of all, they were praising Him for their return to the Land. Second, they were praying because they were still being attacked. And they were wondering if He was still mad at them. But they chose to praise Him for deliverance and protection as they asked for rescue from their enemies’ hands.
