Psalm 102 is a celebration. Of God hearing us. Of God answering us. Of how God endures forever, stability in a world that tries to toss us to and fro. Of His mercy. Of how the nations of the world will see and acknowledge Him Lord and God. Of His love that never ends or decreases.
Psalm 103 is a declaration to the psalmist from the psalmist to praise the Lord, reminding himself of all the reasons that exist for having a grateful heart. Of all the reasons there are to give thanksgiving to the Lord. [In our ‘Dip the Toe’ category, we have a 28 part series on this psalm.]
Psalm 104 is a command to the psalmist from the psalmist to remember to bless the Lord. For who He is. For His creation. For His helps and provision. For how He rebukes the wicked and protects His children. For the boundaries He sets and the mercies He shows to ALL people.
Psalm 105 is a call for everyone to give thanks to the Lord and for everyone to spread the knowledge of what He has done to the entire earth. To give glory to His name. To seek Him with all you have in all things. To remember what He is, who He is, His character, and His works for and in humanity. It is a praise for the eternal faithfulness of the Lord which can be relied upon in full at all times in all situations.
