Psalm 110 is a messianic psalm looking toward the reality of Jesus as Messiah and King. It also speaks of the relationship between Father, Son, and Spirit. It also speaks of the lives of those who would believe in Jesus and their attitudes toward living for Him.

Psalm 111 is rejoicing in the covenants God has with His people. Of His mercies and desire to feed and care for (spiritually AND physically) those who follow Him. It looks to God’s faithfulness and His justice and declares both to be praiseworthy.

Psalm 112 is declaring the heart intent and the blessing of those who follow in God’s Way. What their character is like. How they act and react to what is around them. And how God blesses them for blessing Him.

Psalm 113 is a song of praise for what the Lord does and how He champions those who cannot be able to champion themselves.

Psalm 114 is looking back and praising God for delivering the Israelites.

Psalm 115 is celebrating the faithfulness and trustworthiness of God. It also speaks to the foolishness and futility of putting trust in an idol – of ANY kind.

Psalm 117 is a call for ALL people to praise Yahweh God.

Psalm 118 is a call to praise God for His mercy that is always directed toward us and lasts for eternity. It is a declaration to bring attention to the truth that if God is for you, you outnumber the enemy.

Psalm 119 is a beautiful psalm dedicated to the excellence of God’s Word. Each new section starts with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet, creating the theme for that section of the psalm. It is the longest psalm with 176 verses in total. It really drives home the beauty, trustworthiness, faithfulness, wonder, and blessing of the Word.

Psalm 120 talks about the weariness of living among the ungodly, among those who do not treasure God’s Word. It speaks of God’s peace that lives in the heart and the relief there is to be around people who have it.

Psalm 121 is a celebration of the help that God is to His people. To His children. How He NEVER sleeps and NEVER stops and NEVER moves. Of how He is a keeper and preserver now AND always.
