Fear No Fear

For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast.

If we don’t boast in our salvation, why would we beg for healing? It is HIS complete work. Take it. Juice is poured. Cup is on the counter. Go get your drink. All we need to do to receive right standing with Elohim is to make Jesus our Lord and Saviour, right? “because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation.For the scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all, who richly blesses all who call on him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:9-13). All we need to do to receive healing? Understand that Jesus provided it for us by His stripes/bruises/wounds (Matthew 8:16-17). It was finished on the cross. It’s been released JUST LIKE SALVATION.

It is Adonai’s unmerited, undeserved love for us as expressed through Jesus’ sacrifice which provided us redemption in Messiah Jesus. That’s the Grace part. We receive that through our Trust in Him. In His Word on it. Our salvation was accomplished and completed in the past but continues to have present effects. We have ALL spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3). We have the benefit of the hope of Glory (Romans 5:2). We have the Fruit of His Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) because we have HIS Spirit (Romans 8:11). In JESUS, we are HIS righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21). None of this is by OUR effort. All of this is by our TRUST (faith) in Him. “Now without faith it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him” (Hebrews 11:6). By HIS Grace through OUR Trust which we got from HIM because of MERCY and LOVE for us. Without trust, God’s grace is wasted, and without grace, trust is powerless. Our trust must be released from us in order to receive from Him.

You can’t throw a ball you never let go of. No matter how good your batter is, he can’t hit a ball you aren’t throwing. In the same way, you cannot catch something if your hand is full. More than that, if I have more to throw to you then you need to take possession of one thing – putting it in your house or in your bag or something – in order to catch the next. Especially if they’re big things. Well, salvation is a word that means many things. Only ONE of them is the saving of us. There is also health, success (which can mean different things to different people and something VERY different to Adonai), deliverance, restoration, etc. Adonai is a BIG God. He has BIG ideas and He has BIG gifts. He is not a one-and-done God. But not everyone is catching.

“and he himself is the atoning sacrifice[a] for our sins, and not only for our sins but also for the whole world” (1 John 2:2). The cross is for everyone (1 Timothy 2:3-4). If they believe and put trust in it, they WILL be saved. Not everyone is saved because they don’t put their trust in it. They don’t mix their trust with His Grace. It is always Adonai’s will to fully heal everyone every time (Matthew 8:14-16; Mark 1:29-34; Luke 6:19). If we believe and put our trust in it, we WILL be healed. Not everyone is healed because we don’t believe, don’t trust, or doubt. We mix our trust with His healing. He accomplished it (Matthew 8:16-17). He finished it (1 Peter 2:24). We can command it (Matthew 10:7-8).

We pray for salvation because we are declaring that we are submitting. We don’t have to pray for healing because we have received authority to use His name (John 16:24). We can command healing (Luke 9:12 & 16; Acts 3:6-8). Sickness is rooted in sin which is rooted in disobedience. In Jesus, we OBEY. We are obedient and submitted to Him (James 4:7). We have the authority and the moral standing in Jesus to command sickness to go. We can take the healing Jesus accomplished and appropriate it for us and those around us. We do it through TRUST in Him and HIS work. Not us, HIM. Not our works, HIS works. We don’t brag, we thank HIM. He is our SOURCE. It is a GIFT from HIM. We cannot brag on our restoration salvation. We can’t brag on our healing salvation. It’s Our trust, but HE is the only one accomplishing anything.

Put your trust in healing in the same way you did for being saved. Take possession of your being saved and empty your hand for the next thing: total healing. He did it. He’s offering it. All you do is trust and take it from His hand.

Daily Affirmation Jesus IS Messiah: Isaiah 48:17

“This is what the Lord, your Protector, says, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you how to succeed, who leads you in the way you should go.” Messiah would come as a teacher. An imparter of more than just wisdom. A teacher, corrector, and guide. Someone who led by example. Someone special. “Now a certain man, a Pharisee named Nicodemus, who was a member of the Jewish ruling council, came to Jesus at night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs that you do unless God is with him.”” (John 3:1-2). Jesus taught with such authority people took notice (Matthew 7:29). Jesus did it from childhood (Luke 2:41-52). Jesus came to teach. Jesus IS Messiah!
