Fear No Fear

“For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, pleasing to all, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all might according to His glorious power, enduring everything with perseverance and patience joyfully, giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled us to be partakers in the inheritance of the saints in light” (Colossians 1:9-12, MEV). It is sometimes simply amazing how the Lord works. It can be baffling to me that the God of the Universe, Creator of ALL THINGS, wants ME to have knowledge that came directly from Him. Yet that is EXACTLY what we all need in order to do what He has called us to. He intentionally calls us to do something impossible outside of Himself. Impossible without changing from the inside out from more of ourselves to more of Him. He calls us to become like Him: more. More kind, more gentle, more loving, more faithful, more everything (Galatians 5:21-22). He doesn’t stop giving, does He? Because once we’ve successfully accomplished what has been put before us, He calls us to more (Matthew 25:14-30). More of Him. And more of Him. And then even MORE. Growing ever closer and more like the One who loves us too much to leave us fallen, broken, and anything but WHOLE and HIS. What a GREAT God!
