Fear No Fear

“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they are thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers. All things were created by Him and for Him” (Colossians 1:16, MEV). This is one of those verses that sums up quite a lot. God made everything and everything was made for Him. Which means everything we come across should – in one way or another – bring Him glory. Which means everything we come across that doesn’t is either broken, unrealised, or not from Him. Sickness gives no glory. Poverty gives no glory. Lack gives no glory. Those are not from Him. Think of all the people who have unrealised destinies. Think of how they could be seeking Him and becoming more like Him every day – what a great reason to share His Good News! Everything that has been created has at least ONE opportunity – and frequently more than one – to glorify God. This is our purpose. This is the ‘meaning’ to life. This is what it is to be with a loving God. Not a God seeking to dominate and keep us down. But a God seeking to fix us, heal us, restore us, and enable us to walk in the glory that He so freely imbued in us His creation. He always seeks to help us become more than we are. More like what He saw when He created us. He left nothing out and He never stops moving those who are willing along the path to MORE OF HIM. He never stops attacking LACK. Amen.
