“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us” (Romans 8:18. MEV). God’s past promises have ALL come to pass (Joshua 21:45; 23:14). Every word that comes out of God’s mouth performs (Isaiah 55:11). And God doesn’t do ANYTHING without telling us about it (Amos 3:7). It’s why we were given the book of Revelation. We know the ending. We knew it from the beginning of our trusting in God. We know it now, if we’ll care to look at the book. Would it be great to know the exact details? Of course! Do we NEED to know them? Not even a little bit. Not even if our lives depended on the information (Daniel 3:18). Our TRUST, which was a direct gifting from God of HIS trust (Mark 11:22), is greater than our perception or our desire to know. God has given us Holy Spirit to speak to us CONSTANTLY in guidance, instruction, comfort, and correction (John 14:26; 16:13). God has given us the Word to inform us (2 Timothy 3:16). We are NOT left without resources. We are NOT left in the dark (Colossians 1:13). No matter what things look like from the OUTSIDE, on the INSIDE we can be walking in the revelation of His GOODNESS, MERCY, and LOVE. Every day. In every situation. ALL the time. It does NOT have to end. It does NOT have to be from time to time. It can be CONSTANT and SECURE. Open your heart and pour out thanksgiving to the Lord. Praise Him. Not thanking Him for the circumstances, but thanking Him for Him IN the circumstances (not as the cause, but as our comfort and support). Gratitude to God for what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will do is the key to LIVING in the moment and not SUFFERING in the moment. It is the transformational switch which – when WE engage it – turns ALL THINGS into HIS VICTORY (John 16:33). The enemy can throw all the fiery darts he wants to, but they will NOT hit as intended (Ephesians 6:16). EVER.
