Fear No Fear

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart” (psalm 37:4, MEV). So often our desires do not align with God’s desires. Which, from our point of view, often hinders our prayers – seeing as we don’t get what WE want. Yet that is not a bad thing – James 4:3. We need to get our hearts into alignment with God’s. Yes, it can be a sacrifice (Matthew 16:24-26). But if we stop leaning into what human thinking likes, what human feelings like, and what we think are pleasurable experiences; we will have the opportunity to experience TRULY good things. Good things and pleasurable things that don’t hurt us, don’t poison us, and don’t set hooks in our flesh in order to bind us up (Proverbs 10:22). We get MORE fun, MORE good things, and MORE pleasure than is available ANY OTHER WAY – and it is PURE because it aligns with God’s thinking, God’s values/morals, and God’s character. When we delight in Him, there is so much there for us to delight in for ourselves as well. It fills our hearts with GOOD. It overflows. There is a LOT available to us. More than we think from the outside. It takes living on the inside, living in alignment with the Lord for us to truly see what is available to us. The BLESSING is more than we could hope or imagine, but it is active only when we are living in Jesus and loving Him from the inside out (John 15:5). It is as it is written: “Therefore if the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36). Try Him and let Him show you.
