“Concerning the Almighty, we cannot find Him out; He is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in much righteousness He will not oppress. Men therefore fear Him; He shows no partiality to those who are wise in heart” (Job 37:23-24, MEV). God is totally just. Everything He does is right and good. If we reverence Him and choose His wisdom over our own, there is nothing that is kept from us that we can handle. This doesn’t mean He explains everything to us. But it DOES mean that we can have wisdom in every situation you experience – even when that means trusting Him in spite of not knowing. He will treat you exactly as He did someone else. Do you want the glimpses into His character that Moses had? That Peter had? That Paul had? Lean into Him the way they did. Spend the time studying Him and His Word. Spend the time in prayer. Spend time fasting to bring your flesh into line. Revere Him. Get to know Him. Get to know His character and His morality. Get to know what HE says is right and good. Get to see HIS perspective on the issues of the day. Spend the time it takes to retrain your thinking (Romans 12:2). Unplug from the world and spend some time plugging into Jesus (John 15:5). Ask Holy Spirit to speak to you about the Word you read. He IS our guide and teacher in these things. Get close to Him and He’ll get close to you. He’s a good God. He’ll do it. Test Him and see. Our trust in Him is based on our knowledge of Him. Get to know Him and prove that your trust is NOT unfounded (1 Thessalonians 5:21). You won’t regret it.
