Fear No Fear

“Have you perceived the breadth of the earth? Declare, if you know it all” (Job 38:18. MEV). We find it so easy to say, don’t we? Lord, you just don’t understand! Lord, you never had a calculus test. Lord, you’ve never been married. Lord, but you just don’t GET it. We are SUCH a self-centred people. Our problems, our issues, our situations, our, our, our. The truth is, though, that the Lord understands all of that and more. Children were regularly tested in the scriptures as they grew. The Lord Jesus is stuck with the CHURCH as His Bride. He had ultimate power and authority at His fingertips, and had to CHOOSE not to use them. Had to CHOOSE to submit. He really DOES know it all, whereas we barely understand the dirt we’re made of. This is the core of WHY we have SO MUCH in the Word. He gave it to us thousands of years ago and it’s being proved true every year. He made promises: they keep coming true. He made prophesies: they keep coming true. He made statements about nature: they keep being proven true. His Word can be TRUSTED so that we know HE can be TRUSTED. We certainly don’t have all knowledge or wisdom. He does and we can TRUST it and believe Him and that makes me VERY happy. It brings a peace in tumultuous times that makes me SO GRATEFUL to Him. He loves us too much to not prove Himself trustworthy to our human minds. And again, I am SO GRATEFUL that He did and does. Amen!
