Ruach HaKodesh “The BLESSING”

(All scripture from Lexham English Bible, Copyright 2012 Logos Bible Software)

The blessing of Yahweh makes one rich, and he does not increase sorrow with it.”

Proverbs 10:22

Adonai blesses everyone. When Adonai blesses, there are protections and benefits (Job 1:10). But that is Adonai blessing someone or something. It is not THE BLESSING which comes ONLY within a covenant relationship with Adonai. Adonai is a COVENANT Elohim. It is how He does business, it is how He has ALWAYS done business, and it is how He will always DO business (Hebrews 11:8). It is a legally binding agreement. It is a safety net so that both parties know all the responsibilities and the duties of the other. It is also THE way to give what He could not otherwise justly give – because our covenant with Him is really us abiding in the covenant Jesus made with Him, which means it is a PERFECT covenant.

The BLESSING is simply the fullness of the expression of Jesus’ love for us coexisting in and through us into our environment – whatever that environment is. “On account of this, I bend my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that he may grant you according to the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith (you having been firmly rooted and established in love), in order that you may be strong enough to grasp together with all the saints what is the breadth, and length, and height, and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, in order that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:14-19). That’s Paul’s description of the BLESSING. This is Jesus’ description: “And I do not ask on behalf of these only, but also on behalf of those who believe in me through their word, that they all may be one, just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you, that they also may be in us, in order that the world may believe that you sent me. And the glory that you have given to me, I have given to them, in order that they may be one, just as we are one—I in them, and you in me, in order that they may be completed in one, so that the world may know that you sent me, and you have loved them just as you have loved me” (John 17:20-23). Do you see how they mirror each other? The BLESSING means that the love of Jesus for us and the love of the Father for us and the love they have for each other are the SAME THING and the expression of that love is the BLESSING that comes on us because we are as Jesus is and Jesus is as we are (2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 2:20).

If we hold to that covenant of Love – which we can only do through obedience to Adonai and His Word (John 14:15) – we WILL see the BLESSING in our lives. It will first take over our SPIRITS and then our SOULS and then our BODIES. “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your spirit and soul and body be kept complete, blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23). We will be able to hide it. We will not be able to avoid it. It will come up behind us and overtake us (Deuteronomy 28:2). And it happens from the inside out. “Dear friend, I pray you may prosper concerning everything and be healthy, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 2). This isn’t a having all the money and cars and homes and bragging about your awesome life kind of riches. That’s the WORLD’s way. This is a give Glory to Adonai for He has done this so WHO CAN I BLESS kind of riches. As WE improve, we seek to improve OTHERS too! It is how the Israelites were commanded to live in the Land of Promise (Leviticus 19:33-34). It is how WE should live since we live in the Kingdom wherever we go.

Since the BLESSING produces whole-person prosperity regardless of the physical circumstances we find ourselves in (Genesis 26:1-5,12-17), the BLESSING is the best way to defeat LACK. Prosperity is the opposite of lack. You will think one way, or you will think another. It is inevitable (Matthew 6:24). So it makes sense and is good stewardship to pick the one that is going to produce in your life and in the lives of your loved ones through inheritance. It’s more than a one-off. It’s more than some good things happening to you. It is a total mindset change from human things to Adonai’s things (Romans 12:2). Ruach HaKodesh is the ONLY one who can get us there. We need to LISTEN to Him. We need to FOLLOW His promptings. We need to OBEY Him. He’ll correct us. He’ll guide us. He’ll reveal the truth to us as we read the Word, study the Word, and listen to anointed preaching about the Word (Romans 10:17).

Covenant with Adonai in and through Jesus is the ONLY WAY to ensure that we are where we need to be to receive the BLESSING in full (John 14:6). Ruach HaKodesh will get us there, one step at a time, ensuring our growth between levels as Jesus works to get us from where He found us to where the Father says we are called to be. Every step of the Way we have new opportunities to trust in Him and learn to trust and believe better and better. Obedience to Him will always get us another step on His path. Each area we truly submit to Him is another area prepared to receive the BLESSING. There is no end to the BLESSING and there is no end to who we can be IN JESUS. All for Adonai’s GLORY.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Galatians 2:20

and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me, and that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. A dead man can’t sin. A dead man can’t die. A dead man can’t go back to what they once were. A dead man does what they are told – as in ‘lie there’ and they lie there. They don’t argue. They don’t walk off. They don’t ignore you. A dead man doesn’t engage the wrong thing or seek to take what is not meant for them or their role. Jesus came to KILL US. He came to put to death all that we were in our sinful selves. We are completely restored and renewed in Him. We are living IN HIM. Outside of Him, we are dead and useless. In Him we have life, outside of Him we have NOTHING. No life. No actions. Nothing of value. Jesus came to make sure that the value we were created to be saw life. Jesus came so that we could become. Jesus came so that we can obey. Jesus came so that we can do. Jesus came so that everything we are and everything we do glorifies the Father. Jesus came to make us just as MORE THAN ENOUGH as HE is, and He did it by putting us IN HIMSELF. So WE can BE what HE is. What a GOOD God!
