Fear No Fear

“Offspring of vipers! How are you able to say good things when you are evil? For from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person from his good treasury brings out good things, and the evil person from his evil treasury brings out evil things.”

Matthew 12:34-35

Made in the image and likeness of Adonai is what humanity is. That means that words are power-filled utterances. The blueprint that power follows to create. We HAD a power-source inside us. In our hearts. But when we chose to go external for our power, we lost it. Now, instead of a power source inside us we have an engine. It runs when we put fuel into it. The fuel we put in is the type of power that comes out. That power fills the blueprint we have spoken. But the blueprints are in two languages. One is life. The other is death. We are either fuelling death with death, or fuelling life with life. Our choice.

Words have power. Power is seed. If we speak negative things, we’ll get a negative harvest. Is your relationship suffering? What have you been speaking about it? I don’t mean to say it’s great when it isn’t. We need to speak truth. And the TRUTH is that there is positive in our lives. We need to nurture it. We need to develop it. How do we do that in a bad situation? Stay away from the human and stick with Adonai. Find the TRUTH in the Word and start speaking that. At first, it will seem at odds with what is happening. But in a SHORT time, you WILL see the difference the Word makes. The reason it works isn’t because we’re forcing something to be that isn’t. It is because we are looking at what ADONAI sees and taking ADONAI at His WORD and COOPERATING with Him by AGREEING with Him. That might mean we need to make some changes in our lives. We might need to operate differently to come into alignment with Him. Remember that what HE says is true and when we do things HIS Way they work exactly as HE says they work.

Don’t speak negatively. Speak WORDly. Align your words with His words. It’s SIMPLE but not EASY. It can ONLY be done in and through JESUS (James 3:7-14). We have access to His character. We don’t have to use ours. We don’t have to use what we learned in school. We can use what we learn in the Word. We can see and operate exactly as He did and does. It is possible IN JESUS (John 15:5). If we will put His Word into our hearts, we will see a benefit. We will see it grow. We will see the difference WORD-FILLED words make. We need to practise His Way. We need to practise His character. We need to speak it out so that we hear it and remind ourselves of how we are re-training our thinking (Romans 10:17; 12:2).

Ruach HaKodesh is our best friend in this. WE can sometimes choose not to look at things too closely. We’ll go with the crowd and say what we have always said. Repeat things (sayings, for example) that we’ve heard and struck us as funny or insightful. But Ruach HaKodesh KNOWS the truth. He is THE Ruach of Truth (John 16:13). He can tell us what is trustworthy and what isn’t. He can remind us of the Father-spoken vocabulary that we have access to. He can guide us in our choice of entertainment and reading material so that we get the BEST things into our heart, instead of whatever is being produced by the world. He is the BEST coach, the BEST teacher, the BEST correcter, and the BEST companion we could EVER have. Listen to what He is saying and lean into it. He will never steer you wrong and wants the BEST fuel – godly Word-filled fuel – in your heart.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: 1 Corinthians 2:10

“For to us God has revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.” Adonai isn’t hiding the best from us. He isn’t keeping the biggest pieces for Himself. He is a SHARER and a GIVER. He wants us in the BEST place with the BEST things and the BEST of the BEST of the BEST – which is the BLESSING. We need to be ready for it. We need to have a heart for it. We need to come into alignment with it. And we need to renew our thinking so that we understand it and the importance of submitting to the requirements of it. All that can seem like a little much, you know? But that is why Adonai gave us Ruach HaKodesh. So that we can be led through all the steps in love, through love, and because of love. It becomes a transformational journey of JOY and GRATITUDE, not a list of do’s and don’t’s. Ruach HaKodesh is here to show us each and every piece of ourselves while holding up each and every piece of Adonai, so we can fit together like the puzzle we were created to be. But instead of FINDING a piece to fit, He helps us transform INTO the piece that fits. We COOPERATE. We choose to obey. We submit. And we ALIGN our thinking to match His, because He is SO GOOD to us. In His manner, words, actions, thoughts, and songs. He is SUCH a good Father. SUCH a generous and merciful giver. He NEVER wants us left in the cold. Never wants us away from Him. Not EVER. So He made the Way for us to be with Him. Always. What a GOOD God!
