Fear No Fear

“This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. So if we know that He hears whatever we ask, we know that we have whatever we asked of Him” (1 John 5:14-15, MEV). We are not left wondering. This is one of the best things about God. We are not left wondering. We can have CONFIDENCE. We aren’t begging. We aren’t trying to convince Him. We aren’t hoping He hears us. We KNOW. We KNOW He hears us. We are CONFIDENT He is listening. We KNOW that He watches over His Word. When we pray according to the Word, we are CONFIDENT it will come to pass. We KNOW that He wants the best for us. When we submit to His will and do it His way, we are CONFIDENT that the situations we face we will be facing as OVERCOMERS. The world is full of doubt. We are not. We do NOT have to be. God made sure that we knew His character. God made sure that we could observe His faithfulness. God made sure that we recognized the answers to prayers coming again and again and again. God made sure we could TRUST and BELIEVE Him. It is so FREEING not to have to deal with doubt. Not to have to deal with uncertainty. No, we won’t have ALL the answers at our fingertips. No, we won’t always have a vision for how everything will unfold. But we get to be CONFIDENT God has the situation well in hand. We get to be CONFIDENT and GRATEFUL that we WILL have the answers we need WHEN we need them. We get to be thankful and sitting with Him, not doubting, worrying, anxious, and pacing the floors. He made sure we could have CONFIDENCE in Him LONG before we had situations arising where we would need it. That’s a pretty great thing, isn’t it? He does that because He LOVES us. You don’t let loved ones worry.
