Chapter two continues the genealogy, going from Israel’s kids through Caleb’s kids, to the clans that came from Caleb’s kids. Caleb was the other faithful spy (Numbers 14:6-10). The Lord rewarded him for his trust in God with many offspring and much property.
Chapter three marks the genealogy of David. His children, the kings of Judah, and the line that continued when they were in exile.
Chapter four follows other children of the children of Israel. Ones that didn’t have a direct like to Jesus. Judah and Simeon’s descendants are listed. Names, places lived, and deeds done.
