Fear No Fear

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid. And with joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field” (Matthew 13:44, MEV). God loves us. He loves us so much that He LOOKS for us. He SEEKS us. When He finds us (and no one can hide from Him), He recognizes our value. He not only recognizes it, He is OVERJOYED with us. He sells ALL that He has in order to purchase us. It’s worth it to Him because of the VALUE He sees in us. The VALUE He sees in having a relationship with Him. The great thing is that we didn’t merit this. We are not and we can NEVER be worthy of this. But God saw our value and had such JOY in the IDEA of us, that He decided to give up EVERYTHING before ANYTHING was created (Revelation 13:8). Jesus CHOSE to give up His life (John 10:18). No one could MAKE Him do it – not even the Father. It was HIS choice to take on Himself what He did not deserve (2 Corinthians 5:21). He did it from LOVE for us, from JOY for what we would be (Hebrews 12:2). We are a TREASURE and God loves us so much He did EVERYTHING neccessary to make the Way back to Himself open to ALL. He takes such JOY in the idea of who we are – based on what HE sees, not what WE see. He loves us SO much. We’re not worthy, but we have GREAT value to God.
