Fear No Fear

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea and gathered all kinds of fish. When it was full, they drew it to shore, sat down, and gathered the good into baskets, but threw the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 13:47-50, MEV). God TRULY loves ALL of us. He doesn’t want ANYONE to be without His presence (2 Peter 3:9). He made the Way so that we could ALL choose to come back to Him (John 3:16-18). He made it clear the benefits of a relationship with Him. He has ALSO made it clear the consequences of NOT choosing a relationship with Him. We have both roads open to us and WE – not He – make the choice as to which we are going to follow to the end. God loves us, but God will also enforce the choice WE make. He won’t want to. He’ll truly weep over every person who refuses Him. He’ll honour OUR decision. But He won’t stop fishing until the VERY end. He won’t stop trying to get us with Him until He has absolutely no choice left. That is how much He loves us. He is spending ALL His time sweating and straining with His net, trying to get each and every one of us inside. He loves us THAT much.
