“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20, MEV). Jesus didn’t just save us. He took us into a whole new kingdom. But not just that. Jesus didn’t give us a blood transfusion, He gave us a blood transformation. He changed us from US to HIM. We are no longer the life that inhabits this meat suit. JESUS is the life that inhabits our bodies. Our minds. And lives in our hearts. GOD HIMSELF is inside us. How can ANYTHING not of Him stick around? His very presence will burn it out. His very presence will transform us from the DNA level on up. Oh, the meat suit will age, but the days of deterioration? Over. The days of sickness? Over. The days of being led around by habit and every whim of every feeling that comes upon us? Over. Because Jesus loved us enough to transform us into something new. Because Jesus loves us enough not to leave us alone, but to make sure we had someone right there inside and beside ourselves to talk to, learn from, ask of, be comforted by, be corrected by, and to rely on completely, totally, and constantly (Holy Spirit). That is the kind of love Jesus has for us. The kind of love that changes EVERYTHING for the better. From OUR kind of good to HIS kind of good. And that is SOME KINDA GOOD! Amen! I am SO grateful He loves us. Aren’t you?
