Healing Wings “Therefore”

For this reason I tell you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Mark 11:24 (emphasis added)

A syllogism is an instance of a form of reasoning in which a conclusion is drawn from two given or assumed propositions (premises), each of which shares a term with the conclusion, and shares a common or middle term not present in the conclusion. So, if F then P, if P, then Q, therefore if F then Q. The Law of Syllogism directs you to use deductive reasoning, allowing you to work down to specific examples from generalised postulates and theorems. This is scientific thinking, but it can be used to test scripture. Adonai is not afraid of testing (1 Thessalonians 5:21). It is a great way to look at a verse differently, to ponder it over. You then test your test by applying it to other scripture, letting the Word translate the Word. If you end up with nonsense, you’ve done it wrong. When you end up with a truth, it can be a hard one. Be prepared.

Jesus made a statement in Mark 11:24 that has been looked at and applied by most of us to reassure ourselves that we can have what we pray when we pray according to the Word. When we get our thinking in line with the Word, adjusting OUR thinking and not the Word, in order to pray for what Adonai wants us to pray for. A rightness to our prayer. There are times we do this and we see it arrive physically. Other times we do this and we do NOT see it arrive physically and we wonder if we did it right. Or we wonder whether it was the will of Elohim in the first place. We can start to wonder whether we’ve translated it right. If we’ve missed it in some way. But it is so clear from other scriptures that it is ALWAYS the will of Elohim for us to be healed. “When it was evening, many demon-possessed people were brought to him. He drove out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick. In this way what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah was fulfilled: “He took our weaknesses and carried our diseases.”” (Matthew 8:16-17). “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever!” (Hebrews 13:8). “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we may cease from sinning and live for righteousness. By his wounds you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). And on it goes. Today is the two hundredth and seventy-fifth verse we’ve looked at on healing. Not a single one said that we don’t know what Adonai Elohim thinks. Not a single one agreed with that religious thinking. Two hundred and seventy-five verses agreeing that Adonai Elohim heals, wants to heal, provided healing, and encourages us to accept healing.

With THAT many verses on healing being available to us, not having passed away with the Twelve or the other apostles, not having ended its usefulness when the New Covenant scriptures were sealed, and it being the Will of Elohim before creation, during the time of the scriptures, the will today, and continuing to be the will in the future; why aren’t all believers healed? And that is the crux of today’s verse. BELIEVERS. How many are there? Exactly as many as are walking in the physical arrival of their healing. I know that is NOT a popular statement. But it IS the truth. If you don’t like that, I am sorry you feel that way. Let’s look at today’s verse as a syllogism:

Pray believing, and it will be yours
It’s yours, so then you received
You received because you believed
THEREFORE: if you have NOT received, you have NOT believed.

That’s a hard truth. If you are not walking in the physical arrival of your healing, you have not believed in it. Is there anything that bears this out in the Word? “Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”” (Luke 18:42). “Then he touched their eyes saying, “Let it be done for you according to your faith.”” (Matthew (9:29). “He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”” (Mark 5:34). “O Lord my God, I cried out to you and you healed me” (Psalm 30:2). “The Lord says, “Because he is devoted to me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he is loyal to me” (Psalm 91:14). “Is anyone among you ill? He should summon the elders of the church, and they should pray for him and anoint him with olive oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick and the Lord will raise him up—and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven” (James 5:14-15). I have another two hundred and sixty-nine other verses that agree. Our trust in Adonai is what enables us to engage with the Word and see the physical arrival of our healing. The Word proclaims it, our trust mixes with it, and if we do not doubt then there is nothing to stop it from arriving physically. “For we had good news proclaimed to us just as they did. But the message they heard did them no good, since they did not join in with those who heard it in faith” (Hebrews 4:2).

What then are we to do? First of all, take a moment to get quiet before Adonai. Think about what this means. Think about the hard truth this verse points out. Do NOT pick up guilt. Simply repent for not believing. You may have done a dozen other things, and done them well. But you haven’t believed in your heart of hearts, so repent. Clear the slate. If we approach Adonai with humble submission then we are starting at the point that He can work with us. Moses fled Egypt because he was afraid he had messed up Adonai’s plans for redemption (Exodus 2:15-20; Hebrews 11:24-28). He hung out in the desert and onto his trust. But it wasn’t until he turned from trying to figure out how to do it himself, being guilted because he failed in his own ideas, and turned aside toward Adonai that Adonai spoke to him. “When he saw this, he was amazed at the sight. As he went over to get a closer look, he heard the Lord say” (Acts 7:31). It is when we turn to Adonai that He speaks. One of the first things we need to realise with healing is that looking to our bodies for evidence of our healing will not produce results (2 Corinthians 4:18). We need to apply trust the biblical way. “By faith we understand that the worlds were set in order at God’s command, so that the visible has its origin in the invisible” (Hebrews 11:3).

Eagles learn to fly in a particular way. They practise near their nests by spreading their wings and jumping from branch to branch. Why? Because they are copying their parents. They look to their parents for the example of how things are done. This is how Jesus managed to perform His ministry while on earth. “So Jesus answered them, “I tell you the solemn truth, the Son can do nothing on his own initiative, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son does likewise. For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he does, and will show him greater deeds than these, so that you will be amazed” (John 5:19-20). Jesus did NOTHING the Father didn’t show Him to do. We are to be the same. Except we are NOT righteous and cannot see the Father, right? Wrong. Jesus has that one covered too. “Jesus replied, “Have I been with you for so long, and you have not known me, Philip? The person who has seen me has seen the Father! How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” (John 14:9). If we look to Jesus, if we copy Jesus, then we are copying the Father. Trust-wise, it is the only effective way of learning to receive. It’s the only way to walk in trust. It is the way life is lived to abundance in the Kingdom.

This isn’t a human performance thing. How could it be? When did Jesus accomplish healing for humanity (male and female)? Through the ordeal of the crucifixion. He released healing for our bodies, minds, and spirits through His bruises, wounds, and the stripes He took (1 Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:16-17; Isaiah 53). The Suffering Servant suffered for US – you and me – thousands of years ago. You weren’t even born. How could YOUR performance be a factor in healing? If we look at the ministry of Jesus, we see the arrival of physical healing BEFORE the cross. BEFORE salvation. How could any of them have earned what wasn’t even on the table yet? Our healing has NOTHING to do with our efforts. It has NOTHING to do with how well you are or are not walking with Adonai. Biblically, there are many example of people being healed BEFORE they were saved. Being saved and walking with Adonai is NOT a condition of healing. BELIEVING Messiah Jesus can release healing and wants you to take it IS. If we believe He accomplished it and trust that we can receive it, that is all that is needed. We either BELIEVE that or we DOUBT that – and I am talking deep in your heart of hearts. Because what is in your heart is what is operating here (Matthew 15:17-19). If you are not walking in the physical arrival of your healing, there is a doubt/belief issue NOT a trust or healing power issue.

Doubt needs to be put down and belief needs to be built up. We do that with our trust. Our trust in Adonai is what is going to allow us to bypass our physical brains and its preoccupation with the physical. Out trust is what lets us focus on what our spirits KNOW instead of what our minds tell us we know. We tend to look at our physical bodies to inform us as to the progress of our healing. But our healing occurs from our inner spirit to our outer physical self. Inside to outside. Which means it is working well before we can see it. If we can’t SEE it when it is working, then our DOUBT can kill that tiny plant that is growing. We can kill the seedling with it. Or we can nurture the seedling. Doubt or belief. Which are you going to grab a hold of? If you have built trust, it is easy to grab onto belief. If you have been neglecting your trust, it is easy to grab onto doubt. You have the chance to do one or the other. What you do with your trust will ultimately determine what you will do.

Get your trust a firm foundation. Make it solid. It’s the ONLY way to go. We CANNOT be a trustless generation and expect to see the things of Adonai arrive physically around us (Mark 9:19). Remember it is NOT US that heals, but Adonai. We don’t have to DO anything. Our role in healing is to BELIEVE HIM and TRUST that HE has already done it. Healing does NOT have to be gradual. Healing does NOT have to be at the hands of physicians. Healing CAN be instantaneous, miraculous, and beyond our understanding. Praise Him for it. Remind your soul of all that Adonai has done for you (Psalm 103). Get your repentance on and let Him wipe religious teaching from your mind. He does it by Ruach HaKodesh. He does it with the Word. Grow your trust in the TRUE Word by studying it. Study it any way you can, any format you can. Get it in you and meditate on it. Picture it, think about it, imagine it happening around you, and bring Him your questions about it. He’ll lead you to the answers. He’ll whisper the answers. We have SO MANY avenues to get the Word into our hearts and let it grow there, fertilised by even MORE Word. This is the foundation of belief: the Lord Jesus. Religious minds stumble on the FREEDOM of Jesus doing the work and us believing in our trust in that work He did (1 Peter 2:8; 1 Corinthians 1:23; Romans 9:32).

Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). You know what one of the good works of Adonai is? Grace (James 4:6). Another one? Mercy (Luke 6:36). Another one? Faith (Mark 11:22). Another one? HEALTH (Matthew 11:28-30). These are ALL good works of Messiah Jesus. Believe them. Trust them. Let THIS be the starting point, the FREEING point for your renewed relationship with Adonai. Be as close as a shadow, seeking Him first, and submitting with humble obedience to what is in the Word – not what you’ve been TOLD is in the Word. The TRUTH sets you free and the Father sanctifies us with His TRUTH (John 8:31-32; 17:17). Turn your thinking around by letting HIM turn around your thinking (Romans 12:2), so that your BELIEF will be the floor that rests on His Word (the Rock) and enables you to stand, protected, sheltered, and blessed under the Father’s healing wings (Malachi 4:1). The physical arrival of your healing will be here before you even realise it, since you believe it is ALREADY DONE, Amen.

Daily Affirmation Jesus IS Messiah: Isaiah 53:11

Having suffered, he will reflect on his work, he will be satisfied when he understands what he has done. “My servant will acquit many, for he carried their sins.”” Messiah would justify humanity (male and female) before Elohim. Humanity cannot justify itself. We are not righteous. The Law was given to show us that we cannot do it ourselves, and it did its job well. We cannot be how we need to be in order to stand before the Throne of Elohim and enjoy His presence. Only Messiah, paying the price and redeeming all of who we are (freeing us from toil, shame, lack, poverty, sickness, unproductivity, and restoring our soul), could accomplish this. “But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, because we have now been declared righteous by his blood, we will be saved through him from God’s wrath” (Romans 5:8-9). Jesus accomplished it (John 19:30). He made a way, where no way existed. Jesus IS Messiah!
