Daily Affirmation #274

But, speaking the truth in love, we may grow up in all things into Him, who is the head, Christ Himself,” (Ephesians 4:15, MEV). Jesus was often being misquoted. The devil misquoted the Word to Jesus. The men at His trial misquoted Jesus. They ALMOST told the truth, but there was just enough in there that wasn’t true for it to be a misquote and a lie. Jesus NEVER misquoted anything or anyone. Jesus ALWAYS spoke the truth and WILL always speak the truth. He meets us where we are, but what He says to us is true. Humans don’t like the truth because there’s no wiggle room. That is also what is so great about the truth when God speaks it. He doesn’t give Himself wiggle room. He speaks the truth, only the truth, and always the truth. He doesn’t speak more than we can handle. He always makes Himself available to explain more about what He said – as far as we can understand it. But it is ALWAYS the truth and ALWAYS reliable and trustworthy. He has a perfect track record. If you find anyone – even yourself – that doesn’t agree with that, then get more light on what you think isn’t perfect truth. I think you’ll find that in the light of His understanding, you will realise that it was true and is true. Jesus’ truth is a HUGE THING because of everything He said about you and me. Think about His promises. Re-read His promises. They are truth. They are true things about you and me. Jesus is SO generous, SO gracious, and SO merciful to us. He is a WONDERFUL bridegroom. The Father is a WONDERFUL Father. They are SO GOOD to us. They love us SO much. And they ALWAYS deal with us truthfully. That is a great and encouraging thing. They ARE truth.
