But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ, and who reveals the fragrance of the knowledge of him through us in every place.

2 Corinthians 2:14

Have you ever walked anywhere with a small child? I don’t care where you are going or how close it is. You will take easily as twice as long as you have to because that child will NEVER, EVER take a direct route. They go to wherever their eyes go, they have to check out everything and test it, they are easily distracted, and they LOVE to see it ALL. The walk of the believer in Jesus is NOT difficult. The trouble is staying on the PATH. WE keep walking off. Paths really only have one rule: stay on them. But we really hate being told what to do. In fact, we seem to go out of our way to go our own way – even if it’s a wilderness filled with deadly things and tall weeds. Even if it is OBVIOUS it’s the WRONG way.

Ruach HaKodesh has many jobs, but one of them is simple: He points to Jesus. Wherever Jesus is, Ruach HaKodesh points at Him. ‘There He is!’ Ruach cries. ‘There is Jesus!’ Like a neon sign in the dark of night. Like the beam of a lighthouse pointed directly at the shore, cutting through fog and wind and rain. He is a signpost to where Jesus is. The Word is the flagstones of the Way. Ruach HaKodesh is the pointer to the Way. And Jesus IS the Way. If we use those three things with effectiveness, we will NEVER get lost. But it takes INTENT. We have to CHOOSE to keep our feet on the path. On purpose. Multiple times a day. We need to be intentful about it. It cannot be done by accident. We need to follow our divine signpost EVERY time. It’s important. That’s why He points. He doesn’t want us to EVER not know where Jesus is.

Jesus is the overcomer. Jesus has ALREADY overcome. He’s done it. It is complete in Him. The path goes from the cross all the way to the foot of the Throne. It goes right smack dab through where the world used to block things up. Jesus overcame and made the Way for us. He stands on the path, hands out to catch us, as we learn to walk toward Him. Ruach HaKodesh is there pointing out where Jesus is with signs, wonders, and the Word. There is no doubt as to where Jesus is or the Way and where it goes. Everything is set up so that we can be led by Jesus, coached and corrected by Ruach HaKodesh, in TRIUMPHANT procession right to the Father of Lights. The goodness of Adonai shines out from the Father, through Ruach HaKodesh, through Jesus, and through us. This is why we follow Jesus. To be part of that conduit. To be part of the path. To be part of the plan of the Will of the Father as it unfolds on Earth. It is through our cooperation with His Will that the gospel message spreads. This is how He makes His will known. We spread it. Not just the message but the tools of the message. The whole package. The FRAGRANCE of Adonai.

For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to those on the one hand an odor from death to death, and to those on the other hand a fragrance from life to life. And who is qualified for these things?” (2 Corinthians 2:15-16). Jesus qualifies us because it is in HIM that we succeed (John 15:5). He have to be led by Him because He is the one standing in the place of victory. It’s easy to take our eyes off Jesus. He’s only standing in ONE place and there is a LOT going on around us. Shiny things, noisy things, colourful things, fancy things, clean things, and dirty things. All KINDS of things. But only JESUS’ things are the ones worth looking at. Only JESUS’ things are the ones worth doing. Only JESUS’ things are the ones worth hearing. They can get lost in the glare and the tumult of the world’s message. Ruach HaKodesh is there pointing to Jesus. Ruach HaKodesh is there showing us where our feet will find the path. He is the interactive signpost that is NEVER wrong. Better than a compass, He ALWAYS points at Jesus. If we will listen to Him, we won’t step wrong because we will ALWAYS know where the RIGHT steps are.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Jesus is the Word, Jesus was the Word, and Jesus was with Elohim. But Jesus didn’t STAY there. Jesus came and tabernacled with us (John 1:14). He came and stayed with us. He came and was a symbol for us. He came and was a physical example for us. He came and was NOTICEABLE. He did that because He didn’t want us to MISS THE POINT. He came as the example of the truth which is in Heaven. He was Elohim in man showing us how man can be in Elohim. Jesus was AMAZING. Ordinary looking person, easy to overlook. But He ARRESTED our attention. He did it when He was here as a man, He does it today as Son of Elohim, and He will continue to do it forever as THE name above ALL names. He did it to be WITH us because we were MEANT to be WITH Him. Every day. In every way. We’re meant to be CLOSER and CLOSER. And we CAN be because He didn’t stay in Heaven. Jesus came to where we were and He’s bring US back with HIM. Jesus is bringing us HOME. What a GOOD God!

Your Daily Confession of Elohim’s Goodness:

I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.
