Fear No Fear

“Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent and come out of him!” When the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, it came out of him” (Mark 1:25-26, MEV). There has always been a fascination for ‘hidden’ or ‘ancient’ wisdom. The secret book giving you power over (insert evil thing here). The sacred words which unlock good things and positive happenings. More and more, I am seeing them cloaked in a more bible-friendly way. We hear about the classes of demons or the prayers which conquer them. In reality, the ONLY thing that has power over ANYTHING is Jesus. If we have true knowledge of who we are IN JESUS then nothing can touch us (2 Corinthians 5:21). Not that bad things cannot occur, but rather we are safe in Jesus from anything that might touch us (Hebrews 13:8). The best the world or ANY power or principality can hope for is the suffering or destruction of our physical selves. So what? We have power IN JESUS over powers and principalities (Ephesians 6:12). IN JESUS we are secure against anything else (Matthew 10:28). We may have a meat suit that ceases, but WE have eternal life: constant fellowship with God Almighty (John 17:3). IN JESUS, nothing can truly touch us. He is our shield and our shelter (Psalm 46:1).
