Fear No Fear

“But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who raises up my head” (Psalm 3:3, MEV). Like a child who has been hurt, we stand before our FATHER who is God Almighty. He protects us. He lifts our faces and wipes away our tears. He keeps our heads up, filling us with resilience and triumph that has its source in Himself. He is the commander of creation, Lord of ALL. And He is right there for US! Imagine that. He WANTS us. He WANTS fellowship with us. That alone should be enough to cause our eyes to lift, for our spirits to soar, and our hearts to be kindled with love for Him. He is so loving. So gentle. So kind. So guiding. He stands between us and that which would destroy us. All WE need to do is stay there. To let Him be our protection. To let Him be our Source. To let Him be what He WANTS to be for us: salvation. It is His FREE GIFT to us. We should accept it. And then, we should do what we need to do to stay beside our Savior. To resist moving. To resist taking our eyes off of Him. To resist anything taking His place. Why? He SAVED us. He LOVES us. He enables us to LOVE Him. He truly is WONDROUS and MARVELLOUS and GOOD.
