Fear No Fear

“The pursuers of carnality are getting close; they are distancing themselves from your Torah” (Psalm 119:150, CJB). Why is the world spiralling into the depths of carnality? Choosing abominations as regular conduct? Convincing themselves and others that it is normal and right and good? Because they have not embraced the vaccine for it. A vaccine is ‘a preparation that is administered (as by injection) to stimulate the body’s immune response against a specific infectious agent or disease’ (Merriam-Webster). The Word is God’s preparation that is administered through our minds to our hearts to stimulate our spirit-soul-body’s immune response against the infectious agent of Sin. It helps us RETRAIN our minds (Romans 12:2) so that we respond properly to Sin: stand on the Word and the devil flees (James 4:7). The Word is our protection. If anytime something came up to your mind and you checked the Word to see it was good from God’s point of view, the allure of the sinful things would fade. Their tarnish would show. The more we get into the Word the easier it is to recognize sin’s tarnish. It isn’t about things feeling good or bad on their own merit. It is about God’s point of view. He’s outside the box. He is the ONLY ONE to have an OBJECTIVE point of view. The Word IS that point of view and we can benefit greatly from daily injections. Don’t miss one. Get Word-inated. Build up your immunity (1 John 3:6). It is only in JESUS that we get free. The more Jesus, the more freedom. God is a GOOD Father and has provided us FREE protection. It’s up to us to use it.
