Fear No Fear

But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralyzed man—“I tell you, stand up, take your stretcher and go home.”

Jesus was the Son of Man. Pure human from Mary. Pure spirit from Ruach HaKodesh. Consequently, Jesus was the first human since Adam got breathed on that walked this earth as they were meant to. Jesus was the ONLY human who has EVER walked this earth outside of Eden. Adam unfallen had only walked in Eden. He fell, he failed and never spread the Garden. Jesus came to show the Garden can exist in our hearts. He came to show us how to walk the Good Road from Heaven. How to be kings in the Kingdom (males and females). Jesus came to give us an example of a True Human Being. Jesus came to show us what we could be – in Him.

“And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ But he had nothing to say” (Matthew 22:12). This would have been a HUGE insult to the wedding party. Being provided with appropriate clothes, but choosing NOT to wear them. There was no excuse. Anything they may have said in their defence faded away in the face of the king’s question. It is the same with believers. Why insult the Son by not wearing what is provided? Why slap the Father in the face by refusing the identity He has prepared for you? These are things that we will answer for. There is no excuse not to get the Word into us. There is no excuse for not letting Ruach HaKodesh show us things in it. There is no excuse for not using the trust we have been given and strengthen it through that use until it is an instrument for Adonai. There is no excuse not to walk in freedom from brokenness. We will not be able to say ‘but you never’ or ‘but you didn’t’ when we get before the Throne. He has ALREADY done EVERYTHING and provided ALL we need. It is up to us to engage it. To turn the tap and allow the flow of what He provided into our lives. We’re not waiting on HIM to move. We’re waiting on ourselves to be willing to accept.

It is a rare believer who is willing to accept because the religious thinkers of the church have been teaching for decades upon decades upon decades that these things aren’t for today. They were miracles and supernatural environments and divine communication that was for the time of Jesus, the Twelve, the disciples, and the apostles – and that’s it. That’s what they believed. They believed it because they didn’t see it. You know where it was being seen, and witnessed, and was very much alive? Outside of the establishment. Head to one of the African countries, one of the Asian countries, or one of the Southeast Asian countries and you WILL see it. Why? They believe what their ministers say! They believe what we say! They are told the Word is true. They believe it. They are told the Word works. They believe it. They are told Ruach HaKodesh moves today. They believe it. They listen to the Word being preached and taught as true and it kicks up within them a hungry and eager expectation to see it physically arrive and they TRUST that expectation from the Word. Ruach HaKodesh RESPONDS to trust, so He arrives. He moves. He frees them from their brokenness. Not because some preacher from their country and region said it. Not because a preacher of their particular racial background said it. Not because a preacher from the West said it. No. Because the WORD said it! They believe and so they receive. And when they become believers it is so much easier to walk in the revelation of who they are in Jesus because their foundation from the get go was to believe the Word. “And whatever you ask in prayer, if you believe, you will receive” (Matthew 21:22).

In the West, it is all about proof and mistrust. There are religious minds coming into the kitchen and demanding proof of the pudding’s existence before they’ll trust you enough to start cooking it. Adonai says believe the unseen and I will make it seen (2 Corinthians 4:18). The religious mind says show me the seen and I will consider believing it happened. But they DON’T believe it. They demand proofs (some ridiculous), they want to test by worldly principles and not spiritual or Word principles, they want to recreate it with their own abilities (when it came about by Adonai’s power, not ours), and have it at their or our beck and call so that we can show it again and again and again – whereupon they STILL might not agree to accept it as real and not demonic or fake. Belief is our problem. We doubt. Belief would be easier if we wore the identity Elohim made for us because that identity did nothing and does nothing BUT believe the Word and the Father. Start small and work up to it. Nothing wrong with that. I know a Man of Elohim who started believing for parking spots. I’ve started believing Ruach HaKodesh for the right scripture when I’m speaking so that I don’t have to stop every few minutes to look it up. We don’t have to start with multi-million dollar homes, fancy vehicles, or grocery cupboards ever full. Trust is a relationship muscle, not an ‘I want it’ desire. Adonai doesn’t push us farther than we can manage. He doesn’t toss us gold plated cutlery when nice ones work. He won’t keep the best of the best of the best from you, but if you don’t get there organically through trusting Him as your Source, those possessions will have YOU. You’ll be hooked. You’ll get spoiled. And you’ll end up losing it all or developing miserism trying to hang onto all of it. But if you grow step by step in trust in Him, He will be able to give you anything and you’d be able to give it away without a shrug. The possessions won’t possess you. They’ll simply be things in your life. Your life won’t be about things.

Healing is no different. If you have a few weeks to live, start believing and then find yourself someone who has developed trust and stand together. If you have scraped knee trust, don’t try to fight stage four cancer with it. Don’t be scared, but partner up. If you aren’t facing a serious illness, great. Start with that scraped knee and work up to headaches. Then flu season. Then summer colds. Then anything at all. It isn’t about the order or the severity, it is about believing for what you have the trust for and always moving forward. Always stretching it. Always working on it. When you’re in an exercise program you have leg days and arm days and core days, right? Well, have physical healing days and mental healing days and emotional healing days. Every day find something to trust Adonai for. He’ll bring opportunities your way. Adonai LOVES when we trust in Him (Hebrews 11:6). He will work with you as your personal trust trainer. He’ll get you in shape. Pray that He will make you usable, get a steady and consistent diet of the Word, and make sure to trust Adonai as your Source for at least ONE thing every single day.

Before you know it, you’ll see Jesus, the Son of Man at work in your life. Next thing you’ll notice is that you can see the similarities. It might be planet versus the Sun similarities, but you’ll notice them. Take those and believe the Word that they’re only there because of Jesus, that they are Jesus, and He’s making you more like Jesus every day. We won’t be perfect in a week, or a year, or a decade – that takes spiritual bodies in heaven. We will always be moving forward. Always improving. Always being shown areas where we need more of His light. Always being shown areas where we need to submit. Being shown areas where we need to be corrected. This is the walk of Disciples of Jesus. Salvation is the FIRST step. Not the last. Not the toughest. The FIRST. We won’t get anywhere as ourselves. We’re not enough. Never have been. Never could be. But we CAN be the Righteousness of Elohim in Messiah Jesus! We can learn and wear the identity of the Son of Man – in Him (John 15:5). How do we DO that, though? Well, how do you BE married?

Marriage is the type and shadow of our relationship with Jesus. What is marriage? Two people, opposite physically (male and female), but completely compatible on an internal and mental level, able to function together as partners, and joined in a covenant. What is being IN Jesus? We are two people. Us and Jesus. We are physically opposites. Jesus is divine, we are not. We are totally compatible internally (John 15:4). We are totally compatible mentally (1 Corinthians 2:16). We are able to function together as partners (Matthew 19:26; John 14:12; Ephesians 2:10). We are joined in His Covenant (Luke 22:19-20; Matthew 26:17-30; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Mark 14:22-26; Hebrews 8:6 & 9:15). You get married with a ceremony (which changes from age to age and culture to culture, but it is ALWAYS a covenant ceremony). You abide in Jesus through salvation and baptism. It is the ceremony that is the witness to our minds of what is going on. Anyone who is married knows that it is EASY to be married. Ceremony, rings, some money, and boom. You’re married. LIVING that marriage is different. It is about forging an ever deeper relationship. Ever deeper intimacy. Ever more entwined functioning and work until you are truly two sides of one person. Relationship with Jesus is the same. Some of us want to always live in the Honeymoon, some of us are fumbling around in the first days of cohabitation. Some of us are shocked at the ‘you want MORE honesty and intimacy’ of the intermediate marriage. Some of us want to rest in the golden years of ‘fine as long as we’re in the same building’ marriage. But Jesus doesn’t want that.

Jesus is half our relationship. He doesn’t just want a marriage. He wants to start a business. A growth industry business. You’ll both be doing things. Hiring, training, social media, taxes, accounting, inventory management, retail sales, and everything in between. It CANNOT be done alone. Not by Him and not by you. That isn’t how the system is set up. Adonai isn’t looking for mindless slaves. Adonai isn’t looking for lone wolves. Adonai is looking for COOPERATION. Us and Him. Together. He doesn’t cause things to start, He doesn’t cause them to stop. He wants cooperation from beginning to end. His power. Used how He wants overall. He shows us, we do it. He says it, we repeat it verbatim. Able to rest in Him. Able to recharge. He becomes our strength. He becomes our attention. The Father is our Source. Cooperating just the way Jesus did here on earth (John 5:19-23).

We are able to be just as Jesus was. We can walk in our Elohim-given identity of the Son of Man by living with Jesus like we live with our married partners. Working on our relationship. Moving it deeper. Into better places. Fuller places. More intense places. No matter what stage of life we are in. No matter what location we are in. Bride and groom. Us and Jesus. Living out our identity TOGETHER. It is the only way to disciple. It is full of receiving and giving and the anointing flowing through us to destroy the doubt, the fear, the burdens, and the brokenness. Overcoming all things in Him because He has overcome the world and He is living IN us. He IS our marriage identity and only the FATHER can take it apart. Amen.

Daily Affirmation Jesus IS Messiah: Isaiah 61:1-2

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, because the Lord has chosen me. He has commissioned me to encourage the poor, to help the brokenhearted, to decree the release of captives and the freeing of prisoners, to announce the year when the Lord will show his favor, the day when our God will seek vengeance, to console all who mourn,” Messiah would provide freedom from the bondage of sin and death. Adam was warned about what would happen if there was disobedience (Genesis 2:15-17). Only a payment of that penalty would be able to free humanity (males and females) from the bondage of that penalty. Only Messiah, the Suffering Servant, innocent of ALL wrongdoing could do it. “Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him, “If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”” (John 8:31-32). Jesus physically arrived on earth to walk out what had been spiritually and divinely accomplished (Revelation 13:8). Jesus PAID the price. Jesus enabled the freedom to be grasped by ALL creation. Jesus IS Messiah!
