Ruach HaKodesh “So Many Things”

(All scripture from Lexham English Bible, Copyright 2012 Logos Bible Software)

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name—that one will teach you all things, and will remind you of everything that I said to you.

John 14:26

Ruach HaKodesh reminds us so much about Jesus. What He said. Who He is. And who we are in Him. Jesus told us that He had come to provide us with abundant life (John 10:10) and that the devil was dedicated to keeping us from abundant life. A fair chunk of that abundant life is offered to us, but relies on us taking it from Jesus’ hands. Which means that without revelation knowledge about who we are in Him, we won’t even KNOW what is available to engage. One of the devil’s main strategies is to keep us occupied. Ignorant of what Ruach HaKodesh is saying to us, because we’re focusing our attention elsewhere. Ruach HaKodesh never stops speaking though. He never stops reminding. He is always there, always speaking, and we can always choose to focus on His voice.

Yesterday we talked about Jesus being a strong tower for us. A fortress. But what is that fortress made of? Is it just a thing there to protect us? Or is the protection our knowledge of the many things we are in Him and He is for us? How important is it for us to KNOW Jesus? Paul explained to the Church that our knowledge of Jesus’ love for us is the lynchpin of the Kingdom (Ephesians 3:14-19). It is so important because it is that knowledge working in us that enables Jesus to manifest to us all that He has for us. Jesus is limited by our decision to believe, trust, and engage Jesus’ love. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or imagine, according to the power that works in us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen” (Ephesians 3:20-21). If we do not listen to, accept, and think about what Ruach HaKodesh is saying to us – studying it out in the Word to prove it (1 Thessalonians 5:21) – then we won’t know what’s available to us. Here are some of the things that make up the bricks of the fortress Jesus is to us: In Jesus (the Anointed One or Christ)…

We have redemption (Romans 3:24). We’re alive to Adonai (Romans 6:11). We’re able to be in the heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3, 2:6). We have liberty (Galatians 2:4). We’ve been justified through our trust (Galatians 2:16). We triumph (2 Corinthians 2:14). We’re reconciled by Adonai (2 Corinthians 5:19). We can speak before Adonai (2 Corinthians 6:15). We are fellow workers with Jesus (Romans 16:3). We’re approved (Romans 16:10. We have boldness (Philemon 8). We have and can operate in good conduct (1 Peter 3:16). We have His trust (Acts 24:24). We have consolation (Philippians 2:1). We are in Adonai’s sight in a GOOD way (2 Corinthians 2:17). We are called of Adonai and by Adonai (Philippians 3:14). We were created for good works (Ephesians 2:10). We are made ALIVE and WILL BE made alive (1 Corinthians 15:22). We have been begotten (1 Corinthians 4:15). We have HOPE (1 Corinthians 15:19). We have salvation (2 Timothy 2:10). We have trust and love (2 Timothy 1:13). We are being perfected (Colossians 1:28). We find the will of Adonai (1 Thessalonians 5:18). We speak the truth (1 Timothy 2:7). And we get to have and operate in Adonai’s love – perfect love (1 Corinthians 16:24).

That is NOT an exhaustive list. AND surrounding those specific verse references are explanation and expansion of those themes – sometimes the specific way in which they were used. Reading those verses and the verses before and after them paint a vivid and expansive picture of what is POSSIBLE in Jesus. THIS is the tower that surrounds us. THESE are the ‘bricks’ that make up our security. It is NOT just about Adonai’s power and ability to protect. He does that. The Word is FULL of examples of Him doing that for His children. There are millions of words that have been written in modern time about experiential examples of Adonai supernaturally intervening in our lives to protect us. But we ALSO have a cooperative aspect of protection (Matthew 19:26). If we will study, get revelation about it, and then engage what we KNOW to be true, we WILL experience it in our lives. In a tangible and demonstrable way.

We WILL be lights on a hill. Beacons of absolutely unexplainable victory in emotional, mental, physical, environmental, situational, financial, and every other way. We won’t be able to hide – though who would want to? People will be drawn to us because we will be so different than what experience tells them to expect. They will want to know. And we’ll have to tell the truth: it was ALL Jesus. It IS all Jesus. Only JESUS could do this. We will be a greater evidence of His goodness – painted on the canvas of our lives – than the revelation of His goodness that He painted throughout Creation. We will be the candles on the cake. This is why Ruach HaKodesh will never stop challenging you to seek out and study out His goodness. Through the Word we get revelation of it. Through the Word we learn how to engage it. Through the Word we get the promises of what we can have now and the better, fuller promises of what is coming after. Struggles? Persecution? Troubles coming on us? Maybe. But they are TEMPORARY and they PALE in comparison to what is possible through, in, and because of Jesus. May we NEVER stop trying to listen to ALL that Ruach HaKodesh is reminding us of. There are SO MANY THINGS available in Jesus. All we need to do is hear, study, engage, and REST IN JESUS – who connects us to the Father, the SOURCE of everything abundant about life (John 15:5).

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: 2 Timothy 1:1

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,” We have a promise. That promise is abundant life (John 10:10). Eternal life which is the knowledge of and relationship with Adonai (John 17:3). We can’t get the fulfilment of that promise anywhere else but in Jesus (John 15:5). It rests in Him. When we are resting in Jesus we have access to it. When we refuse to be obedient we don’t have access to it. In HIM we have all things. Outside of HIM we have whatever pitiful collection of coloured glass beads we’re convincing ourselves is true riches. In 1971, the gold standard was cancelled. From that point on, the money a country had on hand was not based on the amount of gold they had. Value was determined by whatever human thinking could come up with. Since that time prices, inflation, expenses, and many other things have spiralled out of control. When left to our own devices and our own decisions of what has value and what doesn’t, we make POOR long-term decisions. Our FEELINGS and our INTELLIGENCE cannot be trusted. We are too rooted in selfish thinking. But we can be EVER GRATEFUL that Adonai didn’t leave us that way spiritually OR physically. Jesus came to bring us LIFE (John 3:16-18). He brought us a chance to get right with the TRUE value system BEFORE judgment is brought down. He has given us the opportunity to invest in and base our lives on the Yahweh Standard. The OBJECTIVE moral values that underpin the entirety of creation. Instead of relying on evolution to evolve our bodies to survive in ever-worsening conditions, we could be renewed to the pure conditions of pre-Fall life in Him. We can start NOW and everything else will catch up. Spiritually, mentally, and emotionally we can connect. Jesus made that possible. Then the physical and situational and financial will follow. He made THE Way for us to connect with TRUE VALUE and TRUE LIFE and TRUE LOVE. He made a Way for us to renew our thinking to TRUE THINKING and TRUE KNOWLEDGE. He made is possible for us to see what physical eyes can’t see and build life from what HE says is real. What a GREAT gift. What a GOOD God!
