Fear No Fear

“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit that lives in you” (Romans 8:11, MEV). The Holy Spirit is the LIFE-GIVING part of our Selves. We have a body, a soul, and a spirit. And living within us is Holy Spirit, given to us by God (John 14:15-31). We were saved, and then we were given THE life-giving Spirit. Before salvation we had nothing to give us life. To renew us. To restore us. We were subject to the same degradation and deterioration as everybody and everything on this planet. Entropy brought us down as surely as it has the rest of Creation (Romans 8:19-23). But Jesus brought us Holy Spirit. The Father sent Him to give us LIFE. It’s why Jesus came (John 10:10). Since we have a life-giving Spirit, we are able to receive LIFE. We get restored. We get renewed. First spiritually and then every other possible way (3 John 2). We don’t have to deteriorate any more. We can engage the life that the Father is pumping through our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical systems. We get to age, but not deteriorate. We get to become like a fine wine with a strong body. We get to be sharper and sharper. More emotionally stable and mature. We get to become more and more like Jesus in every way possible because HIS Spirit is right there with life upon life upon life just waiting to be engaged through our resting in Jesus. God truly is the Source of ALL life – and He’s brought a fount of it into our very bodies. He has truly rescued us from death! He is LIFE and He lives inside US!
