Fear No Fear

“He who loves his life will lose it. And he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life” (John 12:25, MEV). Why do we get so offended when we are told the Truth? It’s because we have become comfortable to the lie. When we are told how things really are from God’s point of view (THE Truth), we don’t always like it. The Truth doesn’t always line up with our experience or our feelings. But we are BLESSED because we are not left in a quandary. We do NOT have to experience confusion about this. We can CHOOSE the source of the signals coming into our minds, hearts, and senses. We can CHOOSE where to look: the World or the Word. When we look to the Word, life-giving options open to us. Positive, beneficial, and reinforcing messages will flood our input. God is about His Love, Mercy, and Grace which He has poured out for us. We don’t have to be slaved to deterioration, less than, or de-evolving circumstances. We can latch onto love, life, and growth in Him. Which makes everything else grow too. We can leave the life the world is offering behind. We can CHOOSE the life-giving offer of the Lord God Almighty which He is making to each and every one of us. We can have eternal life: a relationship with Him. And it can start NOW.
