Fear No Fear

“We know that God does not listen to sinners. But if anyone is a worshipper of God and does His will, He hears him” (John 9:31, MEV). Our Father is patient, loving, gracious, merciful, and eager to hear from us. He LISTENS to us. Imagine that. The Creator of ALL THINGS cares about what you have to say. Not just your problems (1 John 5:14-15). Not just your cries for help (Psalm 66:17-20). Not just our need for His mercy and grace (Hebrews 4:16). He wants to TALK with us. We’re told to cast everything on Him (1 Peter 5:7). All our thoughts, those things that distract us, our cares, our worries, our concerns, and that pretty much covers everything that comes up in our minds. The negative He’ll take care of if we cooperate with Him (which includes listening and obeying what we hear). The positive He’ll celebrate with us and probably make it better (again if we listen to Him and obey what we hear). He wants to be part of OUR lives just as much as He wants us to be part of HIS life. Just like with other humans, conversations with God will run the gamut from serious to frivolous. He wants to be part of everything because everything that is truly good is part of Him (James 1:17). Let Him be part of your world. He really does want to hear it all. He loves you that much!
