“Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20, MEV). God is always there – until you let Him in. But do NOT be afraid. Yes, He is there. He’s omniscient. He knows what’s happening behind the door. He knows the devil is trying to sneak out the window. God is not an angry Father banging on the door and shouting about the fact that He knows what’s going on in there. He’s trying to get you to open the door because He LOVES you. He knows the devil is no good for you. That he stole from your wallet/purse. That he carries diseases and sickness. That he beats you and mentally abuses you. God wants to save you from all of that. He’s knocking at the door, speaking softly, encouraging you to open the door. Because once you do, He will come in and His presence dispels the darkness. He’s there as a help. A source of strength, health, and right thinking. He calms us, soothes us, and guides us. He helps us when we renew our mind with His Word. He corrects us when we get it wrong, or when we choose to disobey. He does it firmly, but with love. No abuse. No hitting. No ‘teaching us a lesson’. We don’t ‘have it coming’. We get GRACE and MERCY. He LOVES us. He is a GOOD Father even when we don’t know what one is. He is there knocking. From love. To help. To bless. To save. Why not let Him in today? Why not stop being scared of His freedom? He loves you. He’s not going anywhere. He’s knocking right now.
