“For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive“
1 Corinthians 15:22
We have only two places we can be. In Jesus or not in Jesus. This is a binary system. There are no other options. Everything that is not in Jesus is not in Jesus. It doesn’t matter what human-designed religious system you follow. It doesn’t matter how good you are. It doesn’t matter where you were born or what culture you are. It doesn’t matter that you’ve decided to be identity confused. Everything and everyone is EITHER in Jesus or NOT in Jesus. Period. If you are in Jesus you’re eternally LIVING with Adonai (John 17:3). If you’re not in Jesus you will be eternally SEPARATED from Adonai. Since Adonai is eternal LIFE (John 1:4; Romans 6:23), being separated from Adonai is eternal NOT life – death (John 3:16-17; Matthew 25:41 & 46; Romans 6:23).
One of the points of all that preparation of our heart soil that we’ve been talking about the last four days is to get this truth: we have position in Jesus. That is a fundamental truth that we all need to grasp. If we want to deal with our walk with Jesus from a legalistic point of view we are LIMITING ourselves. Can we? Yes. Jesus is our arbitrator with the Father against the accuser (Revelation 12:10; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 2:1; Romans 8:27). The devil approaches everything legalistically. He looks at rules and infractions and all of that. But Jesus doesn’t. Jesus looks at His blood on the mercy seat and says ‘I covered it all’ (Hebrews 9:7-14). If WE get revelation on who we are in JESUS, then we can deal with AUTHORITY – the authority we have been given BY Jesus to use HIS NAME for the glory of Adonai. That Name and the blood which it rests on stops the devil cold. Every argument he brings up is blotted out by that Name and that Blood. Period.
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come. And all these things are from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ, and who has given us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore we are ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as if God were imploring you through us. We beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made the one who did not know sin to be sin on our behalf, in order that we could become the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:17-21). We are in Jesus. We are NEW CREATIONS. We have AUTHORITY. We have permission to use the DOMINION that Jesus got back for us. We can command things to be here on Earth the way the Father has commanded things to be in Heaven. It is ALL accomplished in JESUS. That means it must ALWAYS give Adonai glory. That means it must ALWAYS be in accordance with the Word. That means it must ALWAYS be shown to us by the Father and told to us by the Father. Because it isn’t OUR desires, OUR ideas, or OUR glory. It is HIS for HIS purposes. What Jesus did in His earthly ministry, WE CAN ALSO ACCOMPLISH THE SAME WAY (John 14:12-14). It is all about who we are IN JESUS.
We don’t always see where we are. We don’t always see who we are. There are times that we only see who we are on our own. In our own power. With our own ideas. That is NOT a fun place to be. Because then it’s all on us. It’s all about what WE figure out. It’s all about what WE can manage. And let’s face it. Most of the time, it isn’t much. Even when we DO accomplish something, it tends to be tainted with struggle, heartache, and problems. No one wants PROBLEMS. We can handle being in SITUATIONS, but we loathe being in PROBLEMS. We decide to take on stress. To take on anxiousness. To take on depression. To take on all those negatives that speed along the disease of aging that the world tries to convince us is normal, natural, and unavoidable. But this is NOT the place we are supposed to be. WE are supposed to be in JESUS. Jesus got into SITUATIONS, but they were NEVER problems. Storms hit, He was at peace. People tried to throw Him off a cliff, He was at peace. They came to collect Him with swords, clubs, and crowds so that they could nail Him to wood, and He was at peace. He wasn’t there by accident. He PRAYED His way into that peace. He RESTED His way into that peace. He FELLOWSHIPPED His way into that peace. And we can too, because we are to be IN JESUS.
Ruach HaKodesh was sent to remind us about everything Jesus told us. He does that so that He can perform His OTHER ministry to us: convicting us of our righteousness. Reminding us of who we are in Jesus. Asking us why we’re not relying on Jesus. Not trusting in Jesus. Not doing what we are called to do. Not standing where Adonai placed us. Not following the example that Jesus set for us to follow. He literally did it with His blood, His sweat, and His tears. He literally got torn apart for us. He literally became Sin. He took on disease, aging, infirmity, and everything that comes with it. He became so much of what we are that He could not even be recognized as a human being. He was meat nailed to wood and suffering as much as anyone CAN suffer and still be alive (Isaiah 52:14). That isn’t blotting our sins with toilet paper. He transformed Himself into what we were in order for us to be transformed into what He is (1 John 4:17). We cannot look into a mirror and see that. We NEED Ruach HaKodesh to tell us. Only Adonai has the authority and the weight of words to get our minds to see what He sees in us and to know what He knows about us. Without Ruach HaKodesh, we simply cannot manage it.
Ruach HaKodesh is our Gospel Positioning System. He talks to us about where we are. Where we should be. And how we can get there. We get positive encouragement when we are where we should be (John 15:5). We get corrected when we go off course and miss it (John 14:16-18). A constant companion who helps us with every word of the Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Someone who is ALWAYS pointing to Jesus. Someone who is ALWAYS pointing US to Jesus. Someone who is ALWAYS connecting the dots in the BEST WAY – HIS Way. Ruach HaKodesh will always help us to prepare the soil, plant the soil, tend the soil, and harvest the soil so that we will learn the whole receiving process and keep it entirely focused on Jesus.
Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Isaiah 40:31
“But those who wait for Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall go up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not grow weary; they shall walk and not be faint” I age. You age. We ALL age. We are in the arrow of time and it is heading that a’way. But we don’t have to DETERIORATE. Moses climbed a mountain with full eyesight and the ability to father children (Deuteronomy 34:7). He was over a hundred and twenty at that point. He didn’t deteriorate, but he certainly aged. We can be the same way. Aging was not part of the original state of humanity. It is part of the state of Sin. It is part of death, not life. In Jesus, we can walk in health. We can walk in RENEWAL (Romans 8:11). If we renew our minds (Romans 12:2) to how Adonai sees things, we can walk in what HE says we can walk in. We can live fully, giving Him glory, performing our calling, right up to when we’re done and have finished our job. We can do it in full health and full vitality. We can do it because HE SAYS SO. We can be renewed every day to what JESUS thinks about us. What a GOOD God!
