Fear No Fear

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally and without criticism, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5, MEV). God wants us to KNOW. He doesn’t want us anxious. He doesn’t want us fearful. He doesn’t want us to strive and get legalistic in an effort to try and earn our way into Heaven. He doesn’t want us to be concerned EVEN FOR A MOMENT about what will happen to us. We don’t have to WAIT. We don’t have to live in torment. We don’t have to have cares and worries. We are ALLOWED and ENCOURAGED to ask Him for His WISDOM. So that we will KNOW. So that we have SECURITY. So that we will be able to spend that energy on BETTER THINGS than worry. He loves us and wants us to KNOW the depths of His love for us. It’s not an unknowable thing. It’s able to be understood in Jesus. We can be certain and secure. We can have it so much a part of our relationship with Him that we don’t give it any more thought than we do to gravity. It will be part and parcel of who we are and the core of the message we share with others out of the JOY that it gives us. That’s how much He loves us. It’s like a sun inside of us shining forth through everything to everyone. Amen.
