Fear No Fear

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.“

John 14:6

This is closely related to Part Seven. Jesus is the door (John 10:7). The door is the Way to the Father. This is TRUTH. And the Way is the ONLY way to Eternal Life – which is a relationship with Adonai (John 17:3). This is what was decided on by Yahweh before ANYTHING was created (Revelation 13:8). Human ideas throughout the course of history do NOT change the truth. Humans don’t have to like it. Humans are not required to believe it. Human behaviour (being good or bad) doesn’t affect it in ANY way. The truth is the truth because it is the truth. It was established by Yahweh before anything existed, it is still established now that everything has been created, and it will continue to be established after everything relating to the Fall is over and dealt with. Truth is truth is truth. It isn’t a ‘fact’ which is subject to change based on knowledge. Truth simply IS. And the TRUTH is that Jesus is THE Way to the Father. There IS no other way.

Everything about the tabernacle (Exodus 40:18-38) was designed to show that we need a Saviour, we have a path to Adonai, and that Jesus is that Saviour. He wasn’t NAMED to them, but the symbology is embedded within the tabernacle. So that when Jesus came, He would be recognized. So that when the time came for Jesus to walk through the sacrifice that He had only done spiritually thus far (Revelation 13:8), the Jews would SEE it and EMBRACE it as the FULFILLMENT of the Old Covenant and the beginning of the New Covenant that Adonai had promised them (Jeremiah 31:31-34). Jesus was designed and revealed to be the WAY to achieve new life in Adonai through the Tabernacle.

Everything about the Law (Exodus 21–24; 31–35) was designed to show that human beings NEED a Saviour and a sacrifice to PAY for Sin (Sin period and personal iniquity as well). It was designed to show that we cannot save ourselves and that nothing that we do can have ANY lasting effect. The best we can manage is to sacrifice something to Adonai and to have Adonai honour it as a shadow of what is needed in order to temporarily COVER Sin/sins. It had to be repeated again and again. Again and again it was drilled into them: we cannot do this ourselves. Again and again they were to understand: payment was needed. Again and again they were taught that in order to get the benefit of forgiveness, they had to participate in Adonai’s system Adonai’s Way. They were shown through the Law what true righteous was and that there was no way for a human being to achieve it in heart, mind, word, and action on their own strength – no matter HOW hard they tried. They were shown through the Law that ANY infraction was as bad as ALL infractions because true righteousness entertained NO SIN WHATSOEVER. EVER. They needed a Way to freedom from the bondage of Sin and the Law of death (lack of righteousness and relationship with Adonai).

Jesus was heralded as the coming Way to achieve right standing with Adonai (Matthew 3). Again and again Jesus fulfilled the prophecies that had been spoken about Him in order that we would see the truth of who He was and what He was to accomplish. Jesus walked out a life TRULY devoted to Adonai. Jesus walked out a SINLESS life. Never failing. Never faltering. Totally submitted and honouring the Father. And when the time came, Jesus sacrificed Himself willingly and by His own authority (given to Him by the Father – John 10:18). Through His death and resurrection to life, the Way was opened to us. It is the ONLY way. Only Jesus fulfilled the requirements. Only Jesus was capable of accomplishing it. In all of everything (inside and outside Creation) there was only ONE who could do it and only ONE who loved us enough to do it. Jesus. The Anointed One. The WAY to Adonai. The WAY to the Father. There IS no other way. He is it. This is truth. This is not opinion. This is not human reasoning or a creation of our minds and history. This is THE truth. If you want to get to Adonai and have a relationship with Him, you HAVE to go through Jesus. In honesty of your spirit. Believing and confessing the truth (Romans 10:9). Everything else – no matter how good or pleasing or beneficial here on Earth it is – falls SHORT. Only JESUS saves us. Only JESUS. He IS the Way. It is true. And through Him, we can have a relationship with the Father- which IS what life is.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: John 8:47

“The one who is from God listens to the words of God. Because of this you do not listen—because you are not of God.” Adonai speaks to us. Those who believe and follow Him hear Him. Those who do not believe and do not follow do not hear Him. They can hear His call to them to be saved (John 6:44), but if they don’t accept it and follow through, that is all they will ever hear – beyond the conscience that we have all had placed inside us. But those who answer the call, submit to Jesus, and put Him in place as Lord and Saviour of their lives will ALWAYS hear Him. Adonai NEVER stops speaking to us. Communication is a MAJOR part of a relationship and Adonai makes sure that there is CONSTANT communication between us and Himself. He shows us things, He is good to us, and get revelation about and through the Word. It is a vibrant two-way relationship if we’ll accept it and lean into it. If we will HEAR what He is saying and humbly submit to what He says. It is a still small voice, but we KNOW it as His, listen for it, and it can become as clear as the voice of the person across the table from you at breakfast. It is one of the clearest proofs we will ever have that Adonai has transformed our lives and Jesus has saved us: that we hear Him. One reason He never stops speaking to us is so that we have that constant assurance of His presence and that we are indeed born again of Him. What a GOOD God!
