Fear No Fear

“O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable are His ways!” (Romans 11:33, MEV). I’ve been looking for daily affirmations of God’s love for over three years now. I also have been writing meditations and devotional musings on fear, healing, Holy Spirit, and going through the bible in broad strokes and daily reading chapter chunks. That’s thousands of pages. Millions of words. That doesn’t include all the services I’ve attended, speakers I’ve listened to, the Word I’ve consumed, or the personal reflections, ideas, and study. That is a LOT of God-focused thinking. But today I sit here in reverent awe as I realise that I have barely begun to even scratch the surface of the idea of who God is. I’ve barely finished saying ‘hello’ for the first time. There is SO MUCH to God that it takes a LIFETIME to shake hands and it will take more time than exists to really KNOW Him deeply – which is why I am so grateful that we will have the forever beyond eternity to truly delve His depths. I am ALSO grateful that He freely gives us wisdom (James 1:5) and that we have access to the mind of Jesus (1 Corinthians 2:16), so that we CAN know Him now in this life. That we CAN have a relationship and understand how much Jesus loves us (Ephesians 3:14-19). He is SO GOOD to us and it is such a pleasure, honour, and privilege to get to know God Almighty on a PERSONAL level. He is a GOOD Father. And His love for us is truly manifest in our lives as we see His efforts to reach us, teach us, and to KNOW us. What a great God we serve!
