Ruach HaKodesh “Who Is He? – Part Twelve”

(All scripture from Lexham English Bible, Copyright 2012 Logos Bible Software)

I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, the one who is and the one who was and the one who is coming, the All-Powerful...And when I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead person, and he placed his right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid! I am the first and the last, and the one who lives, and I was dead, and behold, I am living forever and ever and I hold the keys of death and of Hades.

Revelation 1:8, 17-18

Read the first two chapters of Genesis and the last two chapters of Revelation and you see revealed the perfect will of Yahweh. That is the plan right there. What we see in that plan is Jesus. He is the Word creating things, breathing into humanity, and ordering all things. He is the Word making everything new, being the Fountain of Life, being the Light, providing all, and destroying the curse. Jesus was the beginning and Jesus is the ending. He is Alpha-Omega. He declared the work before it was (Revelation 13:8; Romans 4:17), and then made sure to walk it through to completion (John 19:30; Colossians 2:10). Jesus is, has been, and always will be the identity of Creation – all that exists outside Yahweh.

Knowing that in ourselves we would fail, Jesus made a Way for us to succeed. He succeeded for us and in Him we can rise above our circumstances. We will still be in them, but not crushed by them (John 16:33). Not burdened by them (1 Peter 5:7). We can ONLY achieve this in Jesus. We can’t do it any other way. He is THE Way. It is TRUE. Everything else leads to DEATH. It must be on His terms, because He made everything that has ever been or ever will be. We twist it. We pervert it. The devil encourages us to do it in any circumstances that he can’t do it himself. It’s a broken world. A broken creation. In what perfect creation would anything have to constantly adapt and evolve, changing the basics of how they interacted with their environment in order to survive? That isn’t perfect. That isn’t even good. That’s desperation. If we want to get back to the place that was VERY GOOD (Genesis 1:31), we have to do it through Jesus. The is the Alpha: the BEGINNER OF NEW THINGS.

Jesus IS what we need and in order to get to Him we have to bend the knee and acknowledge we aren’t the high falutin’ almighty. Proud people fight that. Selfish people fight that. Guilty people fight that. Ignorant people fight that. Every single human being is those four things in one degree or another. Just by existing we were those things: proud, selfish, guilty, and ignorant. That is the sinful state. I am high honcho because I want to be high honcho so I is high honcho. It is the original satantic refrain and we have learned to sing it to a T. We learned it SO WELL that when we get saved, we spend the rest of our lives learning to unlearn it. To retrain our minds from I can’t, it can’t, but I know to Adonai’s point of view (Romans 12:2). The more we spend time hearing Jesus’ words and reading the book Ruach HaKodesh wrote, the more we see things as Adonai sees them. And it is a constant shocking thing. As long as we are living in this creation, we will NEVER cease to be amazed by some part of us that’s trying to be king of the hill. Some part of us that looks at Adonai while clutching our pearls and gasping out, ‘but you can’t DO that!’ It is the battle of the mind that never fully ceases until we are totally and completely renewed in Jesus who is the Omega: the FINISHER.

We cannot get away from Jesus and we should never want to get away from Jesus. Yes, our flesh will whine because we’re not giving it the fast food it wants. The pleasures of the flesh. The selfish ME FIRST attitude that we were born with. We’re all growed up, but we’re still babies demanding that the world revolve around us no matter what. Jesus changes that. He puts us in a place where we have PERSPECTIVE. He puts us in a place where we can APPRECIATE the things of Adonai. Where we can SEE the Life and the Light of who He is. Where we can see the new beginning. Where we can see the calling. Where we can see who He sees when He looks at us. That’s where Jesus puts us. That’s where Jesus challenges us. That’s where GROWTH is. In HIM. He starts us off. He nurtures us along the way. And He WILL complete within us what He started when He renewed us (Philippians 1:6).

Our reminder of our completion in Jesus as well as our coach along the way is Ruach HaKodesh. He echoes what Jesus says to us so that we never forget where we are headed – and how we can get there. Jesus declares to us what we are in Him. Ruach HaKodesh reminds us and coaches us so that our direction isn’t static or downward, but ever forward into Jesus. Ever striving – regardless of stumbles – to the fullness of our calling. We KNOW we can do it because it is JESUS who started us and JESUS who finishes us and He’s already done BOTH of those in Himself. If we look in the mirror, we get discouraged. But if we look in Him, we get encouraged because our perfection, renewal, and inheritance are all staring back at us. In HIM we are the righteousness HE made us to be (2 Corinthians 5:21). He started it and He finished it. It IS.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Philippians 4:19

And my God will fulfill your every need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Adonai fulfills our every need. Every single one. He does it in Jesus. Jesus gave Himself for us so that by His body (the bread) and His blood (the wine) we have all that we need. All we need to do is to engage it. But we can’t engage what we don’t know how to turn on. It’s all great that the lights are controlled by a switch, but if we’re wandering in the dark trying to clap on a dimmer dial light is not something we’re going to have. The Word is the way we learn how to engage with Adonai. The Word is the way we retrain ourselves to how He thinks. It doesn’t brainwash us or get us believing in fairy tales. It shows us how He thinks. It teaches us His character. It explains how it is already all a done deal in Jesus. We just need to see it. Really SEE it inside through revelation knowledge – which is what Ruach HaKodesh imparts. It isn’t impossible. It isn’t unbelievable. Quite the opposite. It’s possible and one HUNDRED percent believable. All because of Jesus’ love for us. What a GOOD God!
