Daily Affirmation #326

He is the image of the invisible God and the firstborn of every creature” (Colossian 1:15, MEV). One of the challenges of having a relationship with the Father (Isaiah 64:8) is that we can’t see Him. Jesus confirmed in John 6:46 that NO ONE has seen the Father. No matter the manifestation or vision in the scriptures, it wasn’t the Father face to face (and some think it was pre-incarnate Jesus in the visions, not the Father). The only man who has been face to face with the Father is Jesus. That can make it hard to have a relationship with Him. He knew that, so that is why Jesus came to us. Jesus is the One we can see! If you’ve seen Jesus, you’ve seen the Father (John 14:9). It is important as human beings to keep before us what we want to keep our focus on. Out of sight, out of mind, right? That’s one reason we get Jesus. So that we have someone we can SEE. Someone we can TOUCH. Someone we can INTERACT with. We have Jesus so that we never forget the Father. So that we can see the Father. So that we can have a relationship with the Father. The Father knew we’d never see Him, so He made Jesus the Way that we can! He loves us too much NOT to interact with us!
