Fear No Fear

“Now to the one who is able to do beyond all measure more than all that we ask or think, according to the power that is at work in us,“

Ephesians 3:20

Ruach HaKodesh transforms our lives, convicts of our lack of trust in Jesus, guides us in the truth, empowers us to proclaim Jesus, offers us spiritual gifts, empowers us to worship, and leads us through life along Adonai’s paths. This isn’t ALL He does, but these are major ministries He does in us. Ruach HaKodesh is not doing this PASSIVELY. He is not sitting back and speaking words of wisdom toward us. He isn’t passing us a note to read when we have the time. Ruach HaKodesh is right there inside us, sleeves rolled up to His elbows, getting right into the trenches with us. Ruach HaKodesh COOPERATES with us. Which is why He does not operate beyond the power that is working in us. If we won’t accept and walk in it, He isn’t going to do it for us. That’s domination and Adonai is AGAINST domination. Always has been and always will be. He gives us a CHOICE – and we HAVE to make it.

The Israelites were meant to enter the Promised Land after a few months. They travelled to Sinai, got the Law through Moses after rejecting getting it from Adonai Himself, travelled up through Saudi Arabia to the Land, went and spied out the Land, and then refused to enter it. They refused to trust in Adonai. They refused to believe what He told them was possible. They refused to let Him do the work for them. They refused to rely on Him and His instructions. They just could not get past what they perceived as the situation. They could not accept His point of view. “So they again tested God and distressed the Holy One of Israel” (Psalm 78:41). They HINDERED Him by not BELIEVING Him. They refused to accept what He wanted to do for them. Instead of accepting His plan, they accepted less. They accepted Him meeting them where they were instead of them meeting Him where He was. He spent forty years operating according to the power that they had operating in them. They walked in FAR LESS than they could have. FAR LESS than He wanted them to. It was their CHOICE.

We are in the same position. Are we going to walk in what He has for us, or are we going to let ourselves stay put and have Him meet us? It is ALWAYS better to meet Him than have Him meet us. His places are ALWAYS far above what we can think or ask. We are privates, but He sees us as Generals. There is time between the two ranks. There is a lot to learn. A lot to do. A lot of stretching and growth. But if we aren’t willing to BELIEVE and TRUST and let Him LEAD, we’ll never get there. We’ll be stuck doing drills under His guidance instead of leading others under His command. There is a WORLD of difference between the two positions. In ourselves, we’ll never get there. We just cannot see all the steps. They are beyond us. But HE planned them. He did it before we were even wombmates (Ephesians 1:4; Ephesians 2:10). He KNOWS and we do not, so we have to rely on Him. That’s where Ruach HaKodesh takes the stage.

We are fellow workers with Ruach HaKodesh (1 Corinthians 3:9). He wants to engage with us. Train with us. Work with us. Study with us. Prepare with us. Not because HE needs it, but because WE need it. Everything we need to do, He wants to be RIGHT THERE helping us do it. Helping us lift it. Helping us understand it. Helping us rely on Jesus. Helping us to look to the Father as our Source. Helping us in ways we cannot conceive before He mentions them to us. Points them out to us. Shines His Light on them. It really is far above what we can conceive of. It is far above what we can manage to plan or plot out. And if we will go with Him, let Him guide us, let Him lead us, and let Him correct our steps, then we will get to where He is helping us get to: where Jesus is standing, which is where the Father has called us to. Ruach HaKodesh isn’t a disembodied teacher lecturing us from afar. He is a fellow labourer, working right beside us, and engaging with us in everything that we do – IF we will let Him. We do NOT need to stand alone in ANYTHING. It does NOT need to be confusing. It does NOT need to rest on OUR shoulders. It can be a true partnership leading to true fellowship leading to true son/daughter-ship. This is the journey. A COOPERATION with Adonai.

When we let Him work in us as a partner, His power shines. When we submit to His point of view, we see clearer than we can alone – regardless of how far He is letting us look. We don’t NEED to see what’s around the corner when we are trusting Him to know when to turn the wheel, put on the brakes, and when to press the gas. When HE is in the driver’s seat, we can relax and let Him drive. We’ll get to where we’re going. We’ll accomplish what we’re called to accomplish. We’ll bring Him glory and we’ll bring Him pleasure (Philippians 2:13). Ruach HaKodesh is the kindling that lights the fire of obedience, love, reliance, security, and peace. We get to be the wood. Adonai is the flames. And Jesus is the Light. It’s a campfire to attract the lost. It’s a campfire to warm and Light the world. It’s a campfire of glory to the Father. And we do it TOGETHER, not separately. Hand in hand. When we cooperate, NOTHING is impossible because from His point of view nothing can be (Matthew 19:26).

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: 1 Corinthians 2:12

“Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, in order that we may know the things freely given to us by God.” Adonai isn’t trying to put one over on us. He is giving us gifts and NOT charging us for it. He isn’t putting a price on it that we have to pay. JESUS paid the price (1 John 2:2). We are getting it for free. We are being offered the BLESSING. What WE need to do is believe it, trust He can give it, trust we WILL receive it, accept it, and be obedient to Him. That’s it. Submit to the One who deserves to be submitted to. The world demands from us. The way of the world ALWAYS costs us. It is presented as freedom, but it is ALWAYS gilded chains. But Jesus gave us FREELY. Why not believe Him? Why not accept it? Why not partner with Ruach HaKodesh and learn to apply it? Why not be free? No matter how beautiful or comfortable a prison is, it is still a prison. Adonai wants us OUT of prison. Adonai wants us UNCHAINED. Adonai wants us FREE. But He wants MORE THAN that. He wants us to LIVE FREE. He wants us to ENJOY our freedom. He wants us to be what He called us to be: HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS. And we get to be that in and through Jesus. We get to be all of what He says because He isn’t making US accomplish it. Jesus already did. We get the benefit of it. We get the BLESSING. We get HIM. What a GOOD God!
