Fear No Fear

“Let us then come with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16, MEV). Did you ever sneak around your house in the night to quietly go to your parents’ bedroom? Have you ever heard those stealthy feet outside your own door? The trying of the handle? But instead of coming in, you hear them retreat? Because the child in question has decided they shouldn’t come in. They’ve decided they maybe aren’t supposed to. That maybe they’ll be in trouble. So they retreat. We sneak around outside Heaven a LOT. We think maybe we need to bang on the gates of Heaven. Shout loud enough for Him to hear us. We worry that maybe we aren’t supposed to. That what we have isn’t important enough. Or that maybe WE aren’t important enough. The truth is that we not only have permission to enter into the very Throne room, but we are ENCOURAGED to come. Holy Spirit lives inside us. He is listening to every WHISPER we speak to Him. The doors aren’t shut, they’re wide open and no curtain is blocking our Way. The Throne is where our help is. It is where Mercy is. It is where Grace is. We will be WELCOMED in. Taken into His arms, onto His lap, like dear children. He will LISTEN to us and He will SPEAK to us. Nothing is too small. We are VERY important to Him. Anytime we want we can go and worship Him, talk to Him, listen to Him, and get the help that we need. His help. His love. His attention. He is waiting to be our Father in this situation. In this moment. Go boldly. We have His permission. We won’t get in trouble. We’ll get His smile, His love, His patience, His mercy, and His grace. Amen. He loves us SO MUCH.
