“God is our refuge and strength, a well-proven help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1, MEV). In a world running on technology with a financial system propped up by technology (instead of commodities, like gold), the loss of technology is often catastrophic. It turns a relatively simple outage into a cascading avalanche of issues, interruptions, and outages. If such an event were to happen, what would we do? Well, for the believer, the first thing we’d do is thank God for being right there beside us. God doesn’t distance Himself when trouble arrives. He isn’t using it as a test. Instead, He gets closer as we rely on Him. He remains right beside us ready to give us strength, joy, peace, and patience (which is trust in Jesus over a period of time). He is able to perform supernatural acts. He is able to give us detailed instructions. He is able to provision us before we even know we need provisions. There is literally NO downside to relying on Yahweh God Almighty. He is EVERYTHING we need. He is TRUSTWORTHY. We CAN rely on Him. If we seek His face, all other things will fall into line (Matthew 6:33). When trouble comes upon us, cast it onto Jesus (1 Peter 5:7). Let HIM work out what needs to be done and humbly submit to what He tells you in full obedience. He loves us too much to see us fall. He wants us walking tall and satisfied with the GOOD things He gives us – even when everything around us seems to fail. Amen.
