Ruach HaKodesh “Pure Channel”

(All scripture from Lexham English Bible, Copyright 2012 Logos Bible Software)

And this is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light and there is no darkness in him at all.

1 John 1:5

Jesus is THE LIGHT, a proof of His divinity (John 8:12). We know that darkness is unable to overcome light in ANY way, so Jesus’ Light is unable to be conquered, overcome, or dimmed (John 1:5). We know the Word is the light that lights our path (Psalm 119:105) AND that Jesus IS the Word and the Word IS Jesus (John 1:1). All of which proves and shows us that “Yahweh is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the refuge of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). Jesus IS that Light. The Light of Life (Psalm 56:13). The Light of this Earth (Genesis 1:3-4). And as the Son of God, the light of Jesus is PURE LIGHT without ANY darkness at all – not even a shadow (James 1:17). That is one of the first, foundational points of the gospel message: God doesn’t need darkness to exist.

Light can exist without darkness. But darkness cannot exist without light. Darkness is the absence of light. That is its ONLY definition. It has an existence entirely in relation to light. Light is something that affords illumination of other things – that’s absence of darkness. But light is more than just the absence of darkness. It is electromagnetic radiation. It is the act of igniting something into being – frequently involving heat, like flame. It is a situational point of view. It can be a type of influence. It can be the standard of one’s ideals. It can be the reflection of our mood. None of those additional definitions require darkness to frame them. Every aspect of darkness is framed in relation to light. Darkness only exists because it is not light. Light exists. Period.

When it comes to things like Adonai’s moral character, His nature, or even His existence, we need to understand that He IS. Period. The devil was NEVER a requirement for Adonai’s existence or His morality. We do NOT need a knowledge of evil to understand Adonai. If we understand Adonai, then everything outside of what He says is right is therefore wrong. In the Garden that was placed in Eden, GOOD was obeying Adonai. That made anything that went against what Adonai had said was EVIL. Therefore, they ALREADY had total understanding of good and evil and did not need to rebel and eat the Fruit. THAT was the second lie of the devil. That breaking Adonai’s command was a requirement to know good and evil. The first lie was the claim that they would not die when they ate it because they first died spiritually IMMEDIATELY upon rebelling and second began dying PERIOD because death had entered as it is a child of Sin. Before the fruit they were not subject to death, after the fruit they were. The final lie of the devil was that they needed the knowledge imparted by the fruit in order to be like Adonai. They were ALREADY like Adonai by His own Word and His action (Genesis 1:26-27). All the lies were wrapped around the false doctrine that you need good AND evil in order to understand, appreciate, or compare them to each other and thereby truly be able to frame them in our thinking. All we need to do is to understand Adonai and His moral character. Everything else then comes into perfect focus.

We understand Adonai by understanding the love Jesus has for us (Ephesians 3:14-20). To understand Jesus’ love, we need the Light of revelation illuminating it. Ruach HaKodesh is the channel through which we receive that Light – and in fact receive everything that the Father has for us (Romans 8:11). Ruach HaKodesh is a pure channel because He also is Yahweh Elohim Almighty. There is NO SHADOW in Him. Nothing of darkness. Pure Light. The reflected Light of Jesus, the Father’s Own Son because Ruach HaKodesh is Jesus’ own Ruach. They are combined and intertwined and reflect each other. This is what makes Ruach HaKodesh such a guide for us. He IS what He is guiding us to. He knows EXACTLY where Jesus is and EXACTLY the depth of His love for us. This is the Word He brings to our minds. This is the remembrance He highlights to us. It isn’t ALL He does, but it is a major part of His ministry. It is so important we understand Jesus’ love because that Light is what illuminates EVERYTHING ELSE. Ruach HaKodesh makes sure we see that it is PURE light. No darkness. No shadow. All Jesus.

Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Ephesians 5:13

but all things exposed by the light are made visible,”  We live in a changing world. Social changes, educational changes, societal changes, governmental changes, technological changes, and financial changes. So much depends on the infrastructure, yet we are consistently changing it. Whether that means the internet underpinnings or the idea of what is and isn’t acceptable to say to each other. It is an ever-changing, hard to remain stable on landscape. But we have Ruach HaKodesh. We have the Word. We have Jesus’ voice. We have a constant, consistent light that illuminates the world and each part of it. We can be shown the reality under the shiny finish. We can see through the illusion to the truth they’re trying to hide. We can see the hooks hidden in the bait. Adonai sent us the Ruach of Truth (John 16:13) so that we too can see through the wool the world is trying to pull over our eyes. So that we can see the steady faithfulness of Adonai holding up our lives. So that we can rejoice that with Adonai as our Source, we have NOTHING to fear. Not from the systems the devil inspired and not from their collapse. Jesus is on the case! Ruach HaKodesh is releasing instructions to us – if we choose to listen. Adonai is in control and has already put into place new systems, new governments, and new resources – all of them ready to step in when the world fails. He is the Elohim who provides. He is the Father who takes care of His obedient children. He is the One Found when we seek. What a GOOD God!
