Fear No Fear

“In Him we have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished on us in all wisdom and insight, making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Himself” (Ephesians 1:7-9, MEV). Have you ever had to hold onto a secret so that it would be a surprise? A birthday party? A holiday gift? A graduation present? That thing they’ve always wanted, but only now could be afforded? God had something He wanted to share. Himself. He couldn’t do that properly for the LONGEST time. But when Jesus came, He couldn’t contain Himself. He spoke audibly, declaring His Son. He sent Holy Spirit to live in our hearts and constantly communicate to us. He had Holy Spirit write down His words so that we could study them and get them into our hearts. Jesus made covenant with His Father to let us in on it. They arranged to take care of what was causing the division between us: Sin. With God’s wrath poured out on Sin, we can take up His love that he pours into our hearts through Holy Spirit and walk with Him right up to His Throne. He lavished His Grace on us so that we could be with Him. So that He could reveal His will and His character and His morals. So that we would see HIS goodness, not just the goodness of His creation. He couldn’t WAIT to tell us because He loved us so much and wanted to see our expression when we got to get into the best relationship that could ever exist: a relationship with Him. He is SO GOOD to us!
