Fear No Fear

“So then, as the children share in flesh and blood, He likewise took part in these, so that through death He might destroy him who has the power of death, that is, the devil,” (Hebrews 2:14, MEV). Jesus destroyed the power of the devil that the devil stole from Adam. The devil has no power in and of himself. He’s done. He has NOTHING that can defeat you. Demons are not powerful. The devil isn’t powerful. They aren’t fought and battled in epic adventures. It’s ALL lies. What the devil DOES have is the power of speech. Of words. He ROARS to get us to flee (1 Peter 5:8). But he can do NOTHING if we stand on the Word (James 4:7). Because human flesh does not have the advantages of a spirit body (like angels and demons), Jesus sacrificed Himself. Jesus did what WE could not. Jesus BECAME the victory and GAVE IT TO US. He did that so that WE could stand on victorious ground. So that WE don’t need to fight the devil. So that OUR battle is for where we put our attention. Who we listen to. Who we CHOOSE to obey. Jesus did what we could not, so that we could do what has ALWAYS been our right. Jesus loved us enough to let us CHOOSE.
