Daily Affirmation #348

The young lions are in want and suffer hunger, but the ones who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing” (Psalm 34:10, MEV). No one wants to be a sheep. There is so much out there about avoiding being a sheep, the negativity of being a sheep. But guess what? It’s these ‘lions’ and ‘wolves’ that are flipping out. They’re the ones panicking. They’re the ones being thrown off planes and kicked out of public spaces because they’ve melted down. The sheep of the Lord? They’re taken care of. Satisfied. Looked after. They are part of a loving community. A supported people. Leaning on Jesus for support, guided by Holy Spirit, and lacking for nothing. Prices rise? Money stretches. Supply dwindles, miraculously everything we need is there at the same time we are. Everyone is panicking, we’re barely aware of what’s happening – or rather we know it’s happening around us, but there is no evidence of it in our homes. When we rely on the Lord, when we seek His face, there is NO LACK in our lives (Psalm 23:1). Other people have that issue, but the beloved children of Yahweh Almighty are taken care of. We’re supplied. We have what we need. What a GOOD GOD we serve! How merciful! How gracious! How loving! What a GOOD Father! What a DESERVING Lord! When times of trouble are rumoured to be approaching, double-down on seeking the Lord. On getting into the Word. On preparing your heart. Because He will see us through ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that can come up, when we are fighting to keep our eyes on Him!
