Fear No Fear

“A man’s heart devises his way, but the Lord directs his steps” (Proverbs 16:9, MEV). God’s plans are ALWAYS better than ours, no matter how good ours are. We serve a GOOD God. I was relying on Him to help me with my grocery list. Prayed about it yesterday and today I sat down to write it. It went well. I assumed I would be over, because I had staples I needed to replenish. Got it all done and I was $40 under budget – with a couple of items I didn’t have prices for. A perfect list. Now as I thought about it over the next hour or so, I came up with other things to have. That meant cutting down here, fitting in there, and every time I did it was a failure. No matter what, I ALWAYS ended up over the line. I ended up going back to His list. It was everything I needed, plus a few ‘extras’, but not everything I could think of. We won’t do without. We’ll have a great set of meals. He really DOES know best. And when we ask for His wisdom AND LISTEN TO HIM, it ALWAYS goes well. He NEVER lets us down. He has the BEST in mind for us and WANTS the best for us. He is a GOOD God and a GOOD Father and a WONDERFUL provider. I am SO grateful for Him and His guidance. Don’t be afraid to let Him take the reins. He REALLY knows what He’s doing.
