“Whoever listens to me will dwell in security and rest securely from dread and disaster.”
Proverbs 1:33
It is amazing the difference there is to life when we are listening to those who know whereof they speak. Sometimes it is a parent. Sometimes a coach or a teacher. Sometimes a mentor. Sometimes it’s a friend or even *gasp* a sibling. We always have people around us who have been trained or have been through the same stuff as we are about to go through and know what they are talking about. So much time and effort can be saved when we listen to their words and apply their wisdom.
We have access to Ruach HaKodesh, the Ruach of truth and the Ruach of wisdom. It was Paul’s prayer that we all receive Him in that particular office (ministry). “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him” (Ephesians 1:17). It requires us to open our spiritual eyes and get His Light shining on it so that we both understand and accept it (Ephesians 1:18). It’s a HUGE benefit. It almost feels like a cheat code, enabling us to walk in ways that SEEM impossible. It ISN’T impossible, but the world system programs us so deeply into anxiety and worry that to be without it is almost miraculous. Yet it comes down to hearing His wisdom and then APPLYING or OBEYING what we hear from Ruach HaKodesh. Imagine going through even a single day without getting nervous about something, worried about something, or anxious about something. Imagine going through a day peacefully, moving from one thing to another without any blips, spikes, bumps, or problems. Smoothly traveling through the day at an exact even keel. Seems impossible, doesn’t it?
This is what Jesus exhorted His disciples to do the night He was to be betrayed. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you—not as the world gives, I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid” (John 14:27). We have a choice to either listen and focus on our FEELINGS, or to REPLACE those feelings with His peace. We have to found out emotions on something. We cannot change them just by smiling more or stopping something. Emotions are built from real things. They have a foundation. Soil that they grow out of. Seedtime and harvest. Everything is a seed. We get to choose where we plant it. We get to choose what it comes out of. The fruit is a reflection of where it grew. Bananas from a banana tree. Plums from a plum tree. Anxiety from feelings. Peace from Ruach HaKodesh. That’s the choice that makes the difference. What are we planting in?
Throughout every day we have MANY chances to change our soil. To decide where we’re plucking our fruit. We’re SUPPOSED to remain rooted in Jesus (John 15:5). We’re SUPPOSED to be resting in Him. Letting His efforts, His finished work, and His anointing provide for us the fuel, the strength, the certainty, and the provision so that we can stop trying to make things happen. Quite often, we don’t have to think of the solution. We just need to do what He told us to. We don’t have to find a way. We just need to believe what He says. We don’t have to struggle and strain. We can step into His anointing and do the work before us. Not getting exhausted because we’re drawing from an inexhaustible source of strength. Jesus operated this way. He was so exhausted in Samaria that He basically collapsed at a well. But as soon as He was relying on the Anointing in order to work, He was as refreshed as if we’d eaten a whole meal (John 4). We too can rely on Him for our supply through Ruach HaKodesh who lives within us. “And if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the one who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also make alive your mortal bodies through his Spirit who lives in you” (Romans 8:11).
When we choose to believe the Word and trust Jesus to do what He said that He was able to do, life gets SO MUCH EASIER. There is RELIEF when you realise that you don’t have to do the thing. You don’t need to protect the car, keep the traffic moving, or make sure everyone is driving defensively. You can use the skills you were taught, drive responsibly, and let Jesus take care of the rest. There is RELIEF doing your job, being wise in your purchases, being a good steward with what you have, tithing with joy, and let Jesus take care of the rest. There is RELIEF doing what He asks in whatever area and letting Him take care of the details. He is trustworthy. He is merciful. He is GOOD to us. The negative feelings can be rejected because we KNOW they are not in the mind of Jesus. If they’re not Jesus’ thoughts, I am not going to let them be MY thoughts. I encourage you to do the same. It’s a RELIEF to let Him be the King He is!
Daily Affirmation of the Goodness of Elohim: Psalm 20:7
“Some boast in chariots and others in horses, but we boast in the name of Yahweh, our God.” We have a GREAT God! It is easy to place our trust in things we can see. Animals we have trained. Things we have built. But whether the percentages are high or low, they ALL have a failure rate. They all have let us down in one way or another at one time or another. Adonai is NOT LIKE THAT. He NEVER fails. Never has. Never will. It is always a question of whether WE are trusting. Whether WE are believing. Whether WE are obeying. We can miss it. We’re not perfect. We can get things wrong. Not Adonai. Not Jesus. Not Ruach HaKodesh. Not the Father. Adonai NEVER fails. His Word proves it again and again. His moral character proves it again and again. Humanity testifies to it again and again. He is MERCIFUL. He is TRUSTWORTHY. He is our LOVING Father. If we will stick with Him, we will NEVER be on the losing side (Romans 8:31). Humanity’s perspective is very short and very small. Adonai saw the end before He even began. He IS the beginning AND the ending. Aligning with Him, depending on Him, and obeying what He says is NEVER the wrong move. What a GOOD God!

I taste and see that Yahweh is good; I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.
