Fear No Fear

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8, MEV). God is VERY compassionate. He loved us when He thought us up. He loved us when we were born. He loved us in spite of the truth that we were in sin. He loved us into His Kingdom. He loves us still. He loves us so much, He wants us to be like Him. Forgiving, even when we have no reason to. Blessing, even if we get nothing in return. Having compassion, because that is who we are. Sacrificing because we know what that sacrifice will do for others. Embracing His moral character and making it our own. Becoming more compassionate, more like Jesus, because THAT is who God is. And that is who we are to emulate. That’s part of the freedom that we have been given. Part of the freedom we get to walk in. Part of the freedom from all the negative things we were trapped in. The greatness of our freedom is a reflection of how much Jesus loves us. Don’t take it for granted. Make it a part of who you are.
